10 yrs later this music still stands up kind of ok. Their presentation is definitely dated to the shitty old days of nu metal tho. PRS guitar, singer acting like he's having an emotional break down, music breaks down in middle, musical structure very dated to early 2000's.
Sad news about the split, ..... but on a good note , i just bought 4 tickets to the tour. Talk about bitter sweet. Thanks for the incredible memorys TBE :)
"The Butterfly Effect wish to inform their fans and media that singer Clint Boge is officially leaving the band to pursue other musical interests. The remaining members of the band will continue to work together and will announce their intentions in the not too distant future.
Clint’s departure is an amicable one and the band are giving fans a chance to see them perform together for the last time on the club circuit by announcing the “EFFECTED” national tour starting late April 2012"
The Butterfly Effect RRROOOOCCKK my WWOORRLDDD!!! Love them and crave their music, can't wait for more!! What a great Aussie fucken awesome rock band!! :) Go Boys!!! :)
Best live aussie band of all time seen them everytime they are in sydney or newcastle he has a voice that rivals jeff buckley. Big call I kno but im making it
@AUSS1EN1CK What about Karnivool? I would say they are a decent band - top 5 for live perfomances but dude...you have to check out Karnivool if you havent yet.
I wish more people knew about these guys like the other top bands. :( I ask everyone "Omg, have you heard about The Butterfly Effect?" And they all say "Isn't that a movie?" Yes it's a movie, but also the best band of all time!
Saw these guys for I think about the 6th or 7th time live just recently at Metropolis Fremantle in WA. They NEVER cease to amaze me with how strong their live performances are. One of the few bands around whereby their live act is actually better than their recordings. Top 5 all time band.
The sad thing is if they ever do get label attention in the US they'll get softer and gradually start making pop rock to fit in with the scene. Also known as selling out.
Really up there with QOTSA, Alice in Chains and Deftones to me. Not to compare, but TBE really are something else. And damn it if Clint doesn't have one of the most unique voices of the decade, right along with the likes of Maynard and Chino etc
This song absolutely blows me away. The chorus is one of my favourite choruses ever. Clint's vocals are freaking astonishing and he has so much power behind them which really, really does highlight the feeling of craving in the song.
This was actually the first TBE song I ever heard and now they're my favourite band. Being in England, I would probably still be yet to hear them had my Australian friend recommended them. How sad :(.
@keepwalkin1010 Funny man. This is the first tune I heard from them too. Late at night, on Scuzz. I was living in Waterford, Ireland at the time. May 2005. I ordered the cd and the shop got it in for me! Fuck yeah!!!!!!
fuck yea one of the best ive ever heard amazin i reamember when i heared this song i was 16 in trevertona school in sa amaqzing this song makes me bring backmemories
