No. Zack told cloud that his dreams are clouds. So I`m guessing in order to keep his dreams a live, he took on zack`s past and believed he was zack.Althrough the mako probably did have something to do with it.

I could be wrong but from how it seems, I think that Last Order happend after Zack defeated Genesis in Crisis Core. I think that in Crisis Core after Zack defeated Genesis and took Cloud and left before Nero and Wiess came, I think that's when Last Order happend when it shows them on the run from Shin-ra.

I'm pretty sure that Cloud in FFVII thinks hes the one who did all of the things that Zack did because Cloud had Mako poisoning and he wasn't very aware until before Zack died so he may have incorporated Zacks actions into his memories. PLus it doesn't help that he has Sephiroths/Genova genes added to him by Hojo. Plus Cloud was the one who Killed Sephiroth in Nibelheim, thats how he was injured enough to get "captured" by Hojo in the first place

so when cloud talks about his part of the story. he got the memories of zack so cloud thought he was the one who fought sephiroth in nibelheim?

Technically both Zack AND Cloud fought Seph,

Zack did most of it, and Cloud "finished" him off.
