  • Agree with Docketfish - this bike's a ZX750A1 or GPz750A1. The ' Top Gun' bike was a ZX900A1 or GPZ900R. Common mistake.

  • Damn...that's MINE (ok similar). I had that bike from 83 to 99.sadly had to sell it with only 33k.

  • Hey bro, I've got an '83 GPz as well & I'd take you with my '91 CBR 600f2 & smoke you. Just sayin. It's a sweet ride, but it ain't all that.

  • This bike is designed to look BEST from BEHIND, cause that was situation back there

  • One of those was the first street bike I ever rode. Wow! What a thrill!

I would run ya with my '86 V45 Magna!

  • why are you acting like this is the fastest bike out there?

  • @bandguy360 the turbo 750 was the fastest for quite a while

  • @bandguy360 i have one they are wicked

  • The rest of them are right. It was a 900 not a 750. It is a nice bike but get your facts straight.

  • i used to have that same bike

  • @Fleeize me too,,loved it

  • ill take you on i have a 1984 GPz 750 Turbo

  • The top speed difference between the 2 is only about 6mph.

    FWIW

  • I have the same bike, looks better without the windscreen ;-)

  • @tammimars mine has no rear fender and led lights

  • I own a 1983 gpz 750 also that I did a custom black on black paint scheme, and yes the bike in top gun is a ninja 900 with the black and red paint (85 model). I am an avid kawasaki buff and have owned 8 kawi's.

  • The Top Gun bike was actually two 1984 Ninja (GPz900R)'s that were painted the ebony/red of the 85's but were not correct in the paint cut lines to match the stock 85 ebony/red paint scheme. Google this up. Some guy recreated the movie bike and has pics from the studio and body shop involved with the movie. You can also see this clearly in the movie itself and in the movie extras. Nice to see any good condition GPz, not so nice when the owner doesn't know much about the bike......

  • Is that a Mac header and exhaust?

  • Had one of these in the mid eighties. They still look cool after all these years. I remember the wheels were a bugger to keep clean though!

  • nesecito ayuda para sacarla a la calle solo las bases de las manillas desde el lugar que lo nesecito estoi estresado

    gpz top gun 750

  • Nice scooter, awful music.

  • first off the bike from top gun was an 85 gpz 900R not a 750 and note the huge DEE on your forehead, cause youre a moron.... plus if youre only runnin 13's in the quarter you oughtta try a bike that doesnt have pedals. AWESOME BIKE TO BIGDADDY

  • We all know fuck all apparently, the top gun bike was a GPZ750R! (note the big Z which means it was the watercooled one).

All I can say is a 4into1 of unknown calibre, foam airfilters?, and if its an 83 its an A1. My 1987 A3 currently runs 13s for the 1/4 mile, so I'll take you on. Especially with my 'new' bike which I built round a turbo chassis and has a tuned head.

Haul it over to the UK's Santa Pod and I'll burn your ass boy!

  • nice bike, got one muhself, but you should be advised, the top gun bike was an 84 gpz900, very similar though

  • NIce Bike, all 80 machines are very good
