  • Man edmond and lucy never learned not to talk to strangers

  • hmmm is this story about Lilith?

  • When I was a little girl I thought that the witch was pretty....does that make me mentally ill lol

  • Anyone else think Mr. Tumnus looks like Him from Power Puff Girls?

    ....or satan....

  • I used to recite the witch's lines over and over again in this movie as a child! Her acting was amazing!

  • @JudygarlandRulez15

He looks like Roger Scruton :oD

  • great childhood memories

  • In this the White Witch looks more like you'd expect her to look than she does in the movie.

  • Lucy says Mr. Tumnus is the nicest faun she's ever met. Has she met others? I kind of doubt it, don't you? :-)

  • that witch is pheonominal. I am surprised the voice actress didn't die of over acting. I don't care if it's a cartoon this is good acting.

  • word...".thou shall know us better hereafter"....i think asland is Jesus and the professor is god

  • shes he best female cartoon voice i ever heard

  • @benthejust who?

  • I just wanted to the the White Witch

  • The White Witch is a lot more tempting of a devil than that goat Satan!

  • 1:00 the sentence Mr. Tumnus says at this point makes him sound like a paedophile.

  • I... absolutely... HATE... Peter's... voice-acting!

*sigh* this is kind of... amusing to watch, and not too horrible, but that voice actor grinds my last nerve. A brick wall has more emotion.

I guess the main problem is the quality really isn't up to movie standards at all, it's more Charlie Brown quality, without the inherent charm of Charlie Brown, and longer.

Anyway, I shouldn't be ranting too much. Nobody's forcing me to watch this. And I am having fun mocking...

  • GREEN HAIR!!!!!! LIKE WTF!!!

  • He's also the ONLY faun you've ever met!

  • WOW!! Did Lucy's and Edmond's parents ever told them not to talk to strangers?

  • The Animated Hobbit and the Lord of The Rings are awesome and the Orcs are friggen Scary esp. when I first saw the movies

  • yup, no doubt about it ,that queen is scarier as a character for animation than tilda swinton.

  • The magic with the lightning bolt and hot drink was always kind of unnerving. I think its the animation o_o

  • 7:17 L O L creepy prostatute :X

  • i don't know what it is about older animations, but they have always disturbed me. It's the visual aspect of them. very raw and at times hideous enough to come across as haunting.

  • @azurenscens totally...

  • @JustKathita not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but if are not being sarcastic, i'm glad you can relate.

  • thanks so much for this clip i suscribe

  • this is so much better than the film, it encapsulates the magic of narnia in a far more profound way

  • I always thought of THIS white witch as a cruder, more shrill version of Melificent.

  • @ccipollini1984 Except Sheila Hancock's voice acting was MUCH better. Along with Arthur Lowe, Leslie Phillips, Leo McKern etc...

  • Edmund is a tard :D anyways haha oh this movie has memories.. I like how a lot of dialogue is from the book or at least I'm pretty sure.

  • TOTTLY

  • I love the queen in this version.

  • I've always felt that this version of the film captured more of the spirit of the book. It just feels more magical than the most recent version.

  • what is Turkish delight???? I have always wondered what it is, I have seen so many versions of this movie!

  • @maleficentdiva the best way to describe Turkish Delight is a powdered jelly bean like candy. It can contain nuts, fruit chocolate or plain. if you google Turkish delight lot's of good pictures and recipes will pop up.

  • i remeber alot of these lines from the disney movie!!!

  • mr.tumnus is red and green lol christmas colors lol!!!!!!!!

  • 0:01 hes sad cuz he looks like an oompa loompa.

  • This is better than the movie.

  • totaly

  • MrTumnus looks like an Oompa Loompa!

  • The voices sound american?

I watched this when I was a kid and it was british actors doing the voices, the voice of Mr Beaver was Captain Mainwaring from Dads Army.

I am thinking it has been translated and shipped to lots of countries, the animation looks continental.

  • she flirt w/ edmond. creepy

  • haha i thought the same thing.

  • Years ago I wrote a fan letter to Beth Porter (who does the voice of the White Witch) to offer my compliments on her contribution to this film. Her colorful, articulate voice added much to the conflict within the plot. She graciously responded to my questions about voice-over/recording for a cartoon.

  • really?

  • that's amazing!

  • Peter and Susan look and sound like Adults

  • How come Edmund is the ony one with an accent?

I don't believe this! I'm over ten years older than I was the last time I saw this, and I STILL can't for the life of me make out what that line is right after "It's me! Edmund!"

  • "She's angry with all the things I've been saying lately"

  • "She's angry of all the things I've been saying lately"

  • Mr. Tumnus looks like a carrot.

  • Thank you for posting this! This is actually my favorite take on the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Where did you find it?

  • Its kinda funny :D

  • the turkish delight looks like Pepto Bismol! lol

  • i was considering buying A vsh player before i found this i have been looking for ages thankyou!!!

  • cool! but! when i used to watch this 20 odd years ago, the version I had was with English childrens voices. I have to say it worked much better........

  • i agree. i don't know why this version sounds like they're reading.

  • I guess I'm not the only one who feels nostalgic when I see this. Last time was like 17 years ago.

  • shut up cunt

  • thats just unfair. for me and ppl like me that has watched this as a kid its special. i can see that it might look bad but i pity u for not seeing what i see in it. i even think the new version is built a little from this one.

  • yes i to have grown up watching the lion the witch and the wardrobe and have come to love it,both the cartoon version and the live action one,and think of this that the live action one would have never existed without this one being made.

  • Boy I remember watching this when I was a kid. I though the animation was weird looking even back then, but I loved the story.

On another note: Edmund's character design reminds me of Jon Arbuckle (from Garfield) for some reason...

  • I think it's because it's his hair that reminds you of Jon... Or the voice... But I can see where you are coming from.

  • man that ice queen used to scare the hell out of me!

  • @boogie1971 Ditto. especially at 7:25 - 7:27

  • no offense to the movie maker, but mr.tomnus

(if i were a little kid) looks kind of scary.

    lol

  • I loved this movie and watched it all the time. Thanks for uploading this!

  • omigosh, i used to rent this from my library

all the time when I was a kid. The animations

kind of crappy, but still was a good show.

  • it's is amazing how when i watched this as a kid, the animation was spectacular, now....not so much......lolz

  • I'm 37, and STILL am very fascinated by how the animation was done back then - wish it was still done this way, now.

  • omg this so funny

  • Errrrr.......can we please have the original british version of this and not the american dubbed crap that this is?!

  • I'm American and I agree with you!

  • lmao! who gives a flying fuck?

  • I always wanted to beat the hell out of Edmund.

  • lol, i knew he was being manipulated by the wi

tch as a kid and hoped either he came to his s

enses or the others got him away from her, i w

as pissed at the witch but true, Edmund could

    be a little brat.

  • I just wish someone would look Edmund right in the eye as say: " Shut up nerd". That would be awsome.

  • i remember watching this when i was a little girl.i cried sooo much when they cut off the lion's hair. now i am 24 years old and still adore it. thanx for upload love u

  • i never knew they made an animated narnia.

  • Wow, I tried to get through this. But I just couldn't.

  • Turkish Delight is oh so goooooood...and addicting.

  • why do the kids have different accents lol

but Im not gonna diss too bad I loved this when I was a kid hehehe

  • doesnt she mean domain not dominions?

  • Either or I think

  • Same difference

  • i remeber watching this in class now they have the neweer version out and they are following with prince caspian (mouth watering) but for a child this is perfect.

  • dude the white whitch comes onto that blonde kid so bad not even funny

  • Even more obvious in the modern movie

  • I went to Catholic school in the '70's. I remember when I had to watch this on TV as a homework assignment. All I could think of was "WHOOPPEE! Our homework is to watch TV! & It's a CARTOON no less! BEST HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT EVER!" The next day, my class had to explain how this story relates to Jesus' life. & Yes, we were being taught that it was a Christian allegory way back then. It's been around 30 years, & I still remember loving every minute of this homework assignment! {{{{^_^}}}}

  • @robynsegg Why didn`t your school give u the book to read,strange

  • @malt8291: Don't ask me. Ask Sr. Julie. I wasn't in charge of handing out the homework. I was just kid... & damned happy to get such an easy homework assignment! lol!

  • Iz it just me or iz teh wite witch flirtin with edmond lol

  • Yep. That's what all female analogues of the devil do. ;)

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I used to watch it over and over when I was a kid. Is there any way you could update the other parts, because the rest of the videos don't work any more. :(

  • WTF is with that dwarf !?!?!

  • Well, what in the name of Aslan, do you expect? It was made in the mid-1970's. So lay off it.

  • this is my favourite film version of the book. I own it too,

  • me too.

  • BTW...The Magician's Nephew is the professor as a young boy.

  • Noooo.... Really? The hell you say.

  • Really!

  • I was being sarcastic. My sister is an elementary school teacher, so she ordered the 7-book set from the teacher's supply store for me.

  • the witch did go to earth. you have to read The Magician's Nephew for that information. Also, the wardrobe came from an appleseed from an apple Aslan gave to the magician's nephew to cure his mother from an illness.

  • Jadis looks like a cross between, The evil Queen from Snow White, Cruella DeVille, and Natasha Fatale from Rocky and Bullwinkle.

  • Good analysis

  • The whole film is hysterical... It's just... Funny, but it's the most memorable thing you'll remember.

  • how does the jadis know about turkish delights when she's never even been to earth, let alone even heard of a wardrobe?

  • She has been to Earth in The Magician's Nephew

  • tumnus looks like the devil

  • yeah, he does. the book said that he was part human, part goat. Here he looks part devil

  • Isn't that what a devil is suppose to look like? I thought his legs looked more like deer's here?

  • He looks like an Oompa Loompa, not the devil. XD

  • LOL!!! He so does!!!

  • Tumnus is voiced by Victor Spinetti, who also voiced Texas Pete in "SuperTed".

  • LOL. Edmond reminds me of a freaked out Charlie Brown! =P

  • Hmmn...I agree, the BBC version was by far the worst, I watched this when I was quite little, and I still love it :)

  • Now THIS is much better then the BBC version. The cartoon version is tons better. Awesome.

  • Creepy.

  • I love old 70's animation and the compleatly non-english voices. makes you appreciate the movie, but seriously I LOVE this version as well.

  • I love old 70s animation, I'm always looking for more! You know Terry Gilliam, Yellow Submarine, Fantastic Planet, etc.!

  • have you got part 3?

  • thx !
