well you can count hullabaloo as an album but it's b-sides and a live performance. by counting that you can add HAARP as an album as well making 6 past albums Showbiz, Origin of Symmetry, Hullabaloo, Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations, and HAARP. Muse are calling resistance their fifth album so that means they're only counting a-side albums. it's like when Linkin Park bring out their new album it'll be their fourth but there's also Reanimation, Live in Texas, and Road to Revolution,

It's good that they change and are always challenging and reinventing themselves. They are talented enough to push boundaries and try new things. Bands that do the same thing don't last because they get boring fast. Too excited to hear the symphonies.... how amazing is that?
