  • Good workout.

  • We tried it for new years eve

  • Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum

  • @jojomojojones its was traditional way that they done in the past hundred of years... never forget about your tradition...

  • @jojomojojones Can you do that? Bet you can't. (:

You'd probably get your hand smashed.

    Is it stupid now?

  • HEY! HI! HEY! HI! HEY! HI!

  • É cada doido nesse mundo........

  • my limit was 10 times when i was a kid. to swing the heavy hammer is really really harder than it looks.

  • These two gentlemen from Nara have good rhythm.

  • If u do this everyday u will get 6 pack abs

  • @HermosTheGreat lol I see the joke but coincidentally swinging a hammer does work the core.

  • WTF

  • That's manly

  • what is that? a green dog?

  • I miss things like this, where you got a show where you got your food.

  • yay for stumble

  • @CRdreamer You're right on all accounts except one. It's quite unlikely to be macha. I'm pretty sure it's green because of yomogi, which is a really common thing to add to mochi.

One thing that is commonly done with it is filling it with sweet bean paste in a daifuku.

  • @movetonanaimo aa I see, yomogi cool, I'll remember that. Thanks ^_^ . I love daifuku!! ^+^ the sweet bean paste you're thinking of is called anko I believe. I love anko filled daifuku covered in black sesame seeds. what a weird flavor oxo but good. >D<

  • mmm, i love mochi!

  • what is nara and why dose it need pounding

  • @2naruto1 no, Nara is a place. what needs pounding is Mochi, a rice cake made by pounding a really glutinous rice then molding the paste. Here it's green- most likely because they added matcha to the mix ^_^ yum~

  • @CRdreamer Yum? Have you ever had it? It's flavorless and about breaks your jaw from the constant chewing. >0_0<

  • @avisioncame o_O you must've had a bad experience? I thought the taste was subtle but really nice. And yeah it was chewy but not that chewy =/ I loved it ^+^

  • @CRdreamer it's not matcha. Good guess though. It's called "mogusa." That means mugwort grass. It has a pleasant fragrance.

  • @Aeiouley that or yomogi as movetonanaimo suggested

"mogusa" interesting, i'll have to read more on that ^_^ thanks

  • @CRdreamer Actually parboiled or powdered yomogi (mugwort) is normally added to make it green. One packet of the powdered yomogi is enough for a 5 lb. bag of mochi rice.

  • lol

  • stumble!

  • @saitokthx rules 1 & 2 dude

  • @mingmann

    Thanks for posting this!

  • WOOOW at the end!!!! i wonder if anyone has broken hands from doing this??

  • the ending is ridiculous....

  • why is the rice green?

  • It's probably matcha (green tea) flavored ^^

  • @illusenrox91 Nope, that's yomogi. Mugwort.

  • @MrInterminable1 Is probably because it's mixed with matcha (powdered green tea) which is awesome, it gives a nice bitter sweet flavor to it.

  • I want to eat it too now lol.

  • Yeah, you show that mochi who's boss!
