john is a good guitarist but dave is technically better and im better than them both dnt mean to bragg but its true u haters can say whatever u want but for u humble ppl check out some of my vids on my page
i hate the way people always say it sounds "somthing like this". I always think why cant they play it EXACTLY how it goes, i mean they played that song fucking 10 thousand times and they havnt nailed it yet? Why cant they say it sounds EXACTLY like this
interchangable as well as simultaneous. i played with one at a guitar center one time...its really freaky sounding, good for haunted house sounds lol, and the really high notes at the end of purple haze and stuff like that.

Love the octave effect, I have the sub-octave for my Line 6 UX1, which isn't a "great" sub-octave by any means but it is still fun to play with.

because guitar playing is not about playing the same solo all the time

yeah, guys like Dave Navarro or John Frusciante make their solos up on the spot in the studio. he probably doesn't remember how to play it

@paulio2293 Dude, calm down. We're talking about guitar playing here. It's not like he's discussing brain surgery or rocket science.

love the effect. I thought an octaver also adds the next octave up rather than the next octave down. Or is this interchangeable?

it is a solo from "Shallow Be Thy Game" of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Obviously it sounds better in the song so you should check it!
