the amazing thing about bode is the fact that even though his tehnique is way behind the ones of skiers such as Ivica Kostelic, Kalle Palander and Benjamin Raich, he's still always on top...He risks when he wants to (which is most of the time), just as he does everything else...whenever he wants, whatever he wants...he doesn't care what anyone thinks...and that's a huge plus in my book...imagine what he would do if he had a better tehnique and discipline,no one else would get the chance to win

This asshole complains that his sport doesn't get enough attention from the media and also that there is not alot of finacial input to his sport and yet, there he sits complaining and bitching about how much media attention he gets and how much work he has to do in terms of endorsing products and showing up for different interviews and what not. Bode is one of the best skiers in the world weather your willing to accept it or not. People put him down because of the DNFs he has but they dont think to look at the wins. If he sees a chance to gain a tenth of a second and risk it all, he is going to take that risk.

Wow you are a total idiot. Why can't you appreciate Bode for what he stands for. He is probably the purest competitor there is. He doesn't do it for the money, the attention or endorsements. He races because he loves to win and every fucking race he does he is going all out. He finished 5th in the downhill and 6th in the gs at the olympics. If you knew anything about the sport of ski racing you would understand how much luck is involved, those same performances could win gold on a different day.

Sometimes I feel like Bode burned out early, and just had to do something. So, why not do what you're best at, skiing. I wouldn't surprised if this guy fights for motivation every 3 months. Personally, I relate to what he puts out there quite a bit. Hitting golf balls for the sake of hitting the ball. Walking in the woods alone. Some people can also stick with things (jobs, relationships, hobbies, talents, etc.) for shallow reasons, I know I have to have a passion for it.

I meant everything I said about Bode Miller, because what he did in Torino was shameful. But I am very pleased to see that he has matured, perhaps becoming a father has contributed to this new maturity. I was cheering him on from the start of this Olympics and am very happy with his performance. Even Bode would probably admit that he acted like a Jackass in Torino!!

What he did in Torino? You mean not winning? He didn't even want to go, as he says in this video. He doesn't owe you or America any medals. He only has to do what makes him happy, and everyone else can find a new "hero" if they don't like it. It's just sports. The fact that anyone cares MORE then Bode is the upsetting thing. Other athletes do it to meet other peoples expectations, and Bode does it for himself, that's why he will always be the best.

i met him in lenzerheide, and hes very unfriendly! he run away from ppl and dont speak with somebody! i was one of the biggest fan from him, and my biggest wish was, that i meet him in real life, and when i saw him on tv i though about him that hes very symatpic and lovely person, but then since i met him i dont think this bout him anymore!
