It's hard to appreciate the impact of the original game without the loud music and crowds of people that you would usually find in an arcade in the early 80s. I kind of think that's why I love this version so much, the thumping music and flashing lights sort of approximate the feeling I had playing Pac-Man as a kid, it's really pretty awesome.

My Xbox Read Ringed (it was a used GameStop system) and M$ didn't fix it! That was a about 17 months ago! This is the ONLY game I miss and the only game thats making me itchy for another Xbox...

I have the iOS version (that is, for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad), and IT IS GREAT. Almost exactly the same as this Xbox 360 version. Great review!

@EquilibriumGaming Actually... Yes! There is a disc you can buy with this on it. It's the Namco Museum Virtual Arcade disc for the XBOX360. Should be really cheap and comes with several other classic Namco games on it. So far all of techromancer1's Pac-Man videos he's played are from that same compilation disc.

ah yes, during my short run as an XBOX 360 owner, I remember thinking that this version of pac man was wonderful...........not to mention visually appealing. Man, time to hit up some Google Pac Man!

Ah now this game The Championship edition is a very good version of Pacman. It captures a lot of gameplay of the original and adds some extra play mechanics.

@markvergeer Yes. I also like how the emphasis isn't on how far you can get, but how many points you can score in 5 minutes. There are other modes too, but I don't think they are as good as the main mode.

Pac-Man CE is awesome and the ONLY reason I really regretted giving up my 360. I want this to get on the PSN so badly.

I got to a point where I couldn't play this at the slow levels anymore. I had to play the hyper fast game variations.

Fantastic game, across the board.

There is a VS Pac-Man based on this released into Arcades by Namco where 2 players can play and if you get a special power up you grow to super size and can eat ghosts and the other player.
