If humans only ate gentically modified fruit and veggies and monno meals of fruit that have only existed for 100 years... HUMANS WOULD GO STERIL! Vegans have no idea that humans as a species have been domesticated. There are still wild people though. And they all eat meat. And they are all 100X more spirtual and have no carbon footprint. The people domesticating you have sentized you and took away primal insincts/actions like killing animals for a reason! MONEY!
"Everyone has heard the advice, "Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day." That's about 1.9 liters, which isn't that different from the Institute of Medicine recommendations. Although the "8 by 8" rule isn't supported by hard evidence, it remains popular because it's easy to remember. Just keep in mind that the rule should be reframed as: "Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day," because all fluids count toward the daily total."THE GURUMAGOOTROLL IS A LIAR
AGAIN, I'VE WORKED IN DESERT HEAT FOR MONTHS AT A TIME WHERE THE HEAT IS 120 DEGREES, DAY AFTER DAY....THE GURUMAGOOTROLL IS TOTALLY FULL OF CRAP....HE'S THE TYPICAL KIND OF SCUMBAG THAT WOULD TRY TO TROLL A HEALTHY VEGAN SITE....ALSO WHEN I WAS WORKING IN THESE TEMPERATURES I WAS A VEGETARIAN..TYPICALLY YOU WOULD DRINK SOMETHING LIKE LEMONADE AND WATER...BUT NOT STRAIGHT WATER AND DEFINITELY NOT 9 GALLONS A DAY...WHAT A JOKEASS TROLL THAT GUY IS
HERE'S A QUOTE FROM AN ARMY GUIDE FOR DESERT WATER CONSUMPTION: ''When calculating water requirements for individual details, plan to use 2 quarts of water per hour of hard work per man (including rest periods) during the heat of the day, or 1 quart of water per hour of hard work per man in the cooler parts of the day. These quantities are intended to satisfy requirements for drinking water as well as for the water that men will pour over their heads when they are hot. '' THE GURUTROLL IS A LIAR
I guess you must be mentally ill. I not sure what exactly you think you're gaining with this tirade, and I'm sorry if what I have to say bothers you, but tough shit. You don't know me, and to be perfectly honest, the only thing you know about this subject matter is what you can find with a google search. I have no problem with the vegan diet. My wife is still a vegan, as are my two daughters. My son and I however are not. I took to veganism initially for health and not philosophical motivations.
Veganism didn't work for me, just as it doesn't work for a lot of people. You're problem with me, I'm guessing, is that you feel threatened by what I have to say. I really don't care. As crazy as you seem judging from your post, could anyone fault me with not wanting to say who I am or where I live? Hardly. You are a disturbed person and you really should get some help.
@gurumagoo FAIL: WRONG AGAIN TROLL........MY PROBLEM WITH YOU IS THAT YOU'RE A LIAR:
1. 9 GALLONS A DAY IS TOTAL BULLSHIT, YOU CAN'T EVEN DO WORK AND DRINK THAT MUCH AT THE SAME TIME....I'VE WORKED IN HOT WEATHER AND RUN CREWS IN HOT DESERT WEATHER, NOBODY DRINKS 9 GALLONS A DAY........YOU'RE A TROLL.
2. I ASKED YOU WHAT CAMP YOU WERE STATIONED AT AND YOU COULDN'T GOOGLE THAT APPARENTLY...
3. YOU LIED ABOUT YOUR MADE UP FARM BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T COME UP WITH THE ADDRESS BECAUSE YOU'RE A LIAR.
4. UNLIKE THE KIDS ON YOUTUBE YOU CAN'T BULLSHIT ME BECAUSE I'VE BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT...YOU'RE JUST A JOKE ASS TROLL TRYING TO HIJACK A HEALTHY VEGAN SITE..
5. YOUR LIE ABOUT RAISING ANIMALS AND THEN HUNTING THEM AND THEN SUDDENLY BECOMING A VEGAN IS JUST MORE BULLSHIT....YOU'RE A JOKE...
6. I'M A WORLD CLASS ATHLETE AND I'VE ALSO ENJOYED A LOT OF OUTDOOR WORK ACTIVITIES, I'VE DONE MY OWN ORGANIC GARDENING AND I CAN TELL, YOU'RE A JOKEASS TROLL.
@gurumagoo GURUMAGOO THE LAME ASS TROLL CONTINUED....
7. WHEN YOU TROLL, YOU SHOULD TRY TO MAKE YOUR TROLL STORIES AT LEAST SEMI BELIEVABLE...BUT YOU COULDN'T DO THAT BECAUSE YOU'RE A REALLY LAME TROLL....GET LOST CLOWN, YOU FAILED....NO BODY DRINKS 9 GALLONS A DAY ON A WORK SITE AND YOU DON'T HAVE A FARM...YOU DON'T HAVE KIDS, AND PROBABLY THE CLOSEST YOU EVER GOT TO SEX WAS WITH THE FARM ANIMALS WHERE YOU MAY HAVE WORKED FOR A FEW DAYS SHOVELING MANURE...WHAT A LAME JOKE TROLL YOU ARE..
I ASKED WHAT WHAT CAMP YOU WERE STATIONED AT WHERE YOU WERE DRINKING THE 9 GALLONS A DAY TROLL....AND YOU DIDN'T COME UP WITH SQUAT....ALSO TROLL, THERE ARE GUIDELINES FOR WATER USAGE IN SUCH CAMPS THAT PERTAIN TO RATIONING WHERE WATER CONSUMPTION FOR DRINKING WOULD DEFINITELY NOT GO MUCH BEYOND 2 GALLONS PER DAY AS I MENTIONED MANY POSTS AGO....YOU'RE A TROLL....THERE'S NO DRINKING 9 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY, YOU LIAR...WHAT CAMPS WERE YOU STATIONED AT...AT WHAT DATES...YOU STILL HAVEN'T ANSWERED
AGAIN FOR ANYONE READING THE GURUMAGOOTROLL'S NONSENCE, DRINKING MUCH OVER A GALLON A DAY IS DANEROUS....I'VE WORKED IN 120 WEATHER FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME AND I'M IN SUPER EXCELLENT HEALTH AS A VEGAN/VEGETARIAN...IF YOU DON'T COMBINE SOME KINDS OF ELECTROLYTES WITH THE WATER YOU CAN BECOME VERY ILL....THE GURUTROLL SHOULD BE BLOCKED AT THIS POINT AND POSSIBLY TERMINATED FROM YOUTUBE BECAUSE HE'S ATTEMPTING TO SPREAD ABSURD INFORMATION THAT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS TO THE UNINFORMED...WHAT A TROLL
FOR ANYONE READING THIS, 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY WOULD KILL MOST PEOPLE, OR ATLEAST MAKE THEM VERY ILL...AND YEA SOME PEOPLE MAY NEED ANIMAL PROTIEN IN SMALL AMOUNTS, BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAINTAIN A BALANCED DIET..THAT MUCH WATER ROBS THE BODY OF SALTS AND WILL CREATE A STATE OF INTOXICATION, THAT COMBINED WITH THE REST OF THE BULLSHIT MAKES THE STORY HIGHLY IMPLAUSIBLE, BUT ANYTHING MAY BE POSSIBLE, SO LET'S SEE THE THE HARD DATA TO ANALYZE THE STORY FURTHER.
YOUR STORY THAT YOU OWN ANIMALS AND HUNT BUT SUDDENLY BECAME A VEGAN SOUNDS LIKE BULLSHIT, ALL WHILE DRINKING 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY, YEA RIGHT...AGAIN, I'VE BEEN DOING THIS STUFF FOR DECADES, I'VE ALSO DONE EXTREME WILDERNESS SURVIVAL STUFF...AND I KNOW A LOT ABOUT REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT AND THE FULL SPECTRUM OF HEALTH ISSUES, SO YOU CAN'T BULLSHIT ME LIKE THE KIDS ON YOUTUBE THAT YOURE USED TO TROLLING...GIVE ME THE ADDRESS OF THE FARM AND LETS SEE THE VIDEO OF YOU DRINKING 6 GALLONS A DAY.
Hey clown shoes, I live in central fucking Louisiana, where the average July temperature is about 105. Drinking 6 gallons of water per day while working outside during the summer isn't hard. Nor is it even a lot of water. In Kuwait in 2003 I was drinking 9 gallons a day and still pissing yellow. I really don't give a shit whether you believe me or not. And you should know I'm not giving you my fucking address. I might as well just post my name.
@gurumagoo OH....I SEE, NOW IT'S UP TO 9 GALLONS A DAY........WHAT A FUCKING MORON....YOU NEED TO GO TO TROLL SCHOOL....BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN CAUGHT AND YOU'VE FAILED....WHAT AN IDIOT...NOW YOU'RE CALLING ME DIRTY NAMES LIKE CLOWN SHOES ON TOP OF LYING THOUGH YOUR TEETH...WHAT A LAME PIECE OF CRAP YOU ARE....I GAVE YOU AN OPPORTUNITY TO SQUIRM YOUR WAY OUT OF THE TROLL CORNER THAT YOU PAINTED YOURSELF INTO AND YOU'RE JUST GETTING YOURSELF IN DEEPER....WHAT AN IDIOT..
Whatever you say pal. You've got me down to a tee. I'm not the one pretending to know everything now am I? Yes 9 gallons a day in Kuwait. I take it you've never been been in the military let alone been to Mesopotamia where summer temperatures can be as high as 130 degrees. I was a Marine grunt with 1/3. I see you like talking about and making judgements on subjects you know nothing about. How typical. Like I said, I'm not really concerned with what you believe. You finished?
@gurumagoo YOU'RE CONTINUING TO FAIL TROLL....I'VE WORKED IN HOT WEATHER AS I'VE SAID AND ANYONE WHO KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT IT, KNOWS YOU'RE TROLL...THE RISK IN SUCH WEATHER IS DRINKING TOO MUCH WATER...BUT YOU'RE SUCH A LAME TROLL YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT.YOU DON'T HAVE A FARM AND YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE AN ADDRESS....YOU'RE A TROLL...GET LOST CLOWN, YOUTUBE SHOULD DUMP YOU....IT DOESN'T NEED SUPER DUMB TROLLS RUNNING AROUND TRYING TO SPREAD SUPER STUPID MESSAGES, WHICH THEY CAN'T EVEN BACK UP..GET LOST
@whothehellgivesadamn I went to Iraq in 2006 I was stationed in Kirkuk and do not know ANYONE that drank 9 gallons of water a day, water was ALWAYS AVAILABLE, I mean it was EVERYWHERE, in bottle form in 1 liter bottles, even on the HOTTEST days, I don't know ANYONE that drank 9 gallons of water, this guy sounds like he is either a wannabe solider or is just flat out lying.
@smuwakil RIGHT, I LIVED IN THE DESERT FOR MANY YEARS AND WATER IS AN ISSUE, BUT IT'S WELL KNOWN THAT OVER DRINKING WATER IS VERY DANGEROUS...ANYTHING OVER 1 GALLON PER DAY STARTS TO GET DANGEROUS...MAYBE 2 OR 3 WOULD BE THE MAX AND THEN YOU WOULD GET SICK OR DIE..HE STARTED OUT TRYING TO HIJACK A VEGAN SITE WITH A BUNCH OF NONSENSE AND THEN CONTINUED LYING AND GOT ALL MESSED UP BECAUSE HE'S PROBABLY NEVER EVEN WORKED OUTSIDE, THE GUY IS JUST A DUMB TROLL.
@gurumagoo ALSO TROLL, GO AHEAD IN GIVE THE CAMP THAT YOU WERE STATIONED AT AND YOUR COMMANDING OFFICER, BECAUSE WE CAN CHECK WITH HIM, IF YOU WERE DRINKING 9 GALLONS OF WATER PER DAY....SO FAR YOU'VE BEEN LYING ABOUT YOUR MADE UP FARM, NOW YOU'RE CONTINUING TO LIE ABOUT YOUR MADE UP SERVICE...GO AHEAD CLOWN, WHAT CAMP WERE YOU STATIONED AT, GIVE THE TIME AND YOUR COMMANDING OFFICER AND WE CAN CONTACT HIM....YOU LYING TROLL...YOU THINK ITS ALL SO FUNNY TO LIE LIKE THAT, GO AHEAD...
1st Plt, Alpha CO, "Lava Dogs" 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, Kaneohe Bay Hawaii. 11/13/99-6/15/04. As for the CO, you'll have to be a little more specific than that since I had several. Company Co in Kuwait was Major Dwire. How old are you kid? Do you often talk about shit you know nothing about?
@g9g9g9 It sounds like your body is taking the opportunity to do some major cleansing while you're eating this way. That's a good thing for your body but not so convenient for a busy person with a life full of activity and things to do. You may need to work your way into it. Perhaps starting more slowly working your way up to larger amounts of fruit as time goes by until your body gets used to it. Maybe focusing on some denser fruits like bananas and dates for a little while might help too.
@g9g9g9 okey so i was having the SAME problem!!!!!! i would have diarrhea a couple hours after eating raw veggies or fruits. it took literally one month of dealing with this problem before my body was finally ready to take in ONLY raw veggies and fruits. also if you are not willing to spend a month dealing with diarrhea eat carbs with the fruits and veggies like bread which will sort of clog up the intestines and stop the diarrhea. hope i helped cause i was struggling with the same problem.
Before going vegetarian I was really big into physical fitness, and could do around 25 dead hang pull ups. Three years later, I was 70 pounds lighter but could barely lift my own body weight 3 times. The problem with veganism is that it is a philosophical practice rather than a balanced one. It may sound admirable, but admiration doesn't account for physical realities. I've found that wisdom is the middle ground between extremes.
I do a great deal of outside physical labor and I found over time that vegetarianism was simply unsustainable in my lifestyle. Before I went vegetarian I was a healthy 220 pounds. I lost a lot of weight after going vegetarian but the weight loss wouldn't stop. After a year of veganism, I practically had to eat all day just to maintain weight. I didn't look healthy anymore, and I was always tired.
First of all, I am not a vegan. I am not even a vegetarian. I believe in a balanced approach to diet. About 90% of my food intake is plant matter. The remaining 10% is a combination of dairy (homemade cheese and buttermilk) and animal flesh that I harvest myself. I know all about veganism as I was a vegetarian for 2 years and a strict vegan for just over 1 year.
@gurumagoo Youre just one of those people who is trying to give veganism a bad name. If you even ever were a vegan then you must have done something wrong that made you weak. You were probably undercarbed or just ate too little in general.
Sorry, but you got it wrong. I averaged about 5000 calories a day. I own and run an organic vegetable farm and work around 12 hours a day outside. With veganism, eating enough fruits and vegatables to keep my body going was like a full time job. I got tired of constantly having to make myself eat. I can't help it you don't like what I have to say. Veganism may work for the average person in America, because Americans are mostly sedentary. A person who is extremely active will have trouble.
@gurumagoo Fine. I just find it sad that animals have to be killed but at least I think it´s better that you hunt them yourself than that you´d buy the meat from factories.
@gurumagoo WHAT YOU'RE SAYING IS POSSIBLE, I'VE BEEN A VEGETARIAN OR DECADES AND I'VE LIVED A PHYSICAL EXISTENCE MY ENTIRE LIFE....YOU MAY HAVE SEVERAL PROBLEMS...IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE LYING TO ME, BUT YOU COULD BE TELLING THE TRUTH, BUT YOU MAY BE DOING SOME THINGS INCORRECTLY OR NOT PROPERLY ANALYZING YOUR PROBLEM. YOU COULD EVEN BE EATING WHAT YOU'RE FARMING AND YOUR CROPS MAY BE LACKING NUTRIENTS BECAUSE OF YOUR POOR FARMING TECHNIQUES....ANYWAY, WHAT DID YOU EAT DURING THAT PERIOD?
Every morning I'd drink a 1500 hundred calorie fruit and vegatable shake I made myself. Tons of citrus, carrots, apples, etc.... Included about 500 fat calories from peanuts and avacodo. Lunch would be a giant green salad, lots of green vegatables, soy, and usually about 3 slices of homemade pie or cobbler. Dinner was more of the same. In between meals I ate fruit and vegatables throughout the day. Usually whatever was at hand. And of course I'd drink around 6 gallons of water a day.
@gurumagoo ALSO THE 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY IS TOTAL BULLSHIT, I'VE WORKED ON BUILDING PROJECTS IN THE DESERT IN 120 DEGREE WEATHER FOR MONTHS AT A TIME, AND 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY IS TOTAL BULLSHIT...MAYBE TWO OR THREE...BUT SIX IS STUPID...YOU SHOULD WEAR A HAT..AND WEAR LIGHT COTTONS AND ALSO LEARN TO MOVE IN A MORE GRACEFUL MANNER, IF YOU'RE ACCURATE ABOUT THAT, THEN THAT'S A BIG INDICATOR RIGHT THERE ALONG WITH THE REST OF YOUR STORY THAT YOUR WHOLE LIFE STYLE IS A MESS TO BEGIN WITH.
I tried all kinds of things to keep weight on; everything from eating pure soy protein with a spoon to eating peanuts, almonds, peacans, and walnuts all day. Nothing worked. Went to 2 doctors and a professional vegan dietitian. Both doctors recommended that I quit the veganism and at least start eating dairy again. Went out, bought 6 Jersey cows and started making homemade cheese, butter, and cream. Things started getting better and about 6 months later I quit being a vegetarian altogether.
Since then I haven't had any more problems. I don't eat a lot of meat, eggs, or dairy; but it does account for a solid 10%-15% of my total diet. Maybe as much as 25% during the hotter months and the fattier the better. All the meat, dairy, and eggs I eat are home produced. Everything you can think of. Chickens, cows, sheep, geese, and pigs. I even have 29 ostriches I raise for eggs and their crap which makes about the worlds best fertilizer. I also do a lot of hunting.
I don't doubt you are being honest about being physically active. What I do doubt is that you and I have the same idea of what constitutes a "physical existence". I run a 109 acre farm in central Louisiana and between myself and 8 employees, an easy day is when we don't have have 10,000 Ibs of produce to collect by hand or a quarter mile of irrigation ditches to repair. The work is never finished and you're always behind. I don't get "days off". It's a 7 days a week job.
@gurumagoo I'VE ALWAYS BEEN PHYSICALLY ACTIVE BUT I LIVE A MUCH MORE SOPHISTICATED EXISTENCE WHICH INVOLVES ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONTROL...WHAT YOU'RE DESCRIBING SOUNDS VERY CHAOTIC AND STRESS RIDDEN. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE INVOLVED IN ALL KINDS OF ANIMAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE AND SLAUGHTER TO BEGIN WITH...AS FOR ME, I'VE DONE ALL KINDS OF PHYSICAL THINGS SUCH AS BUILDING AND I HAVE BOUNDLESS ENERGY, I CAN WORK TILL I SLEEP, SOMETIMES 48 HOURS, BECAUSE I KNOW A LOT ABOUT ENERGY CONSERVATION
@gurumagoo SO IF I WERE YOU ID RETHINK MY ENTIRE EXISTENCE TO WHERE IT RUNS SMOOTHLY TO BEGIN WITH...FOR EXAMPLE ON A BUILDING LEVEL YOU SHOULD COMBINE ENERGY PRODUCTION WITH ENERGY EFFICIENCY TO ACHIEVE A NET ZERO SELF SUFFICIENCY...I'VE STUDIED AND PRACTICED THE MOST EFFECTIVE MANUAL COMBAT...EFFECTIVE FIGHTING IS ALL ABOUT BALANCE AND CONTROL AND TECHNIQUE, IT'S NOT ABOUT WASTING YOURSELF IN A MANIC RAGE OF CONFUSION, THAT MAY WORK FOR A WHILE, BUT ITS NOT THE OPTIMAL PATH..
@gurumagoo THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF WAYS YOU CAN STREAMLINE YOUR FARM THAT REQUIRE LESS ENERGY, WHILE PRODUCING HIGHER QUALITY PRODUCE. CARL LEWIS WAS THE FASTEST RUNNER FOR A WHILE AND HE WAS A VEGAN...HIS RECORD DID GET BEAT THOUGH BY SOME GUY WHO IS 6'5 AND NOT A VEGAN, SO I'M NOT THAT DOGMATIC ABOUT ALL THIS, I'M JUST SAYING THAT I WOULD LOOK TO OPTIMIZE ON EVERY LEVEL IF I WERE YOU...ALSO IF I WERE WORKING ON YOUR FARM I WOULD BE CRUISING THROUGHOUT THE DAY, BECAUSE I DON'T WASTE ENERGY
@gurumagoo ONE OTHER AREA OF TOTAL BULLSHIT IN YOUR STORY IS 10,000 POUNDS OF PRODUCE TO COLLECT BY HAND PER DAY....FROM A 109 ACRE FARM....YEA RIGHT.....AND YOU EACH DRINK 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY....THAT ALL SOUNDS LIKE VERY POOR TROLLING TECHNIQUE TO ME...WHEN YOU MAKE UP A STORY, YOU SHOULD TRY TO MAKE IT SEMI BELIEVABLE...AND TECHNICALLY COHERENT...INSTEAD OF JUST TROLLING...BUT SINCE YOU DON'T KNOW THAT MUCH ABOUT FARMING TO BEGIN WITH YOU GOT YOURSELF TIED UP IN YOUR STORY.
@gurumagoo YOU CAN GET 10,000 POUNDS OF PRODUCE PER ACRE, BUT YOU'RE ALSO DESCRIBING A FARM WITH SPACE FOR ANIMALS AND DOING ALL OF THAT BY HAND YOURSELF, IS RIDICULOUS....IT MAY BE POSSIBLE, BUT AT ANY RATE, IF I WERE YOU ID RETHINK THE WHOLE STORY AND THE WHOLE OPERATION AND EITHER SCALE THE STORY BACK OR SCALE THE OPERATION BACK...BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE A MESS.
About 40 acres of my farm is peach and walnut trees. The animals I do have are not used commercially. I rotate them through seasonally fallow fields to replenish the soil. First cattle, then sheep and goats, then geese and ducks. In this way I avoid using artificial fertilizers. Market produce must be hand picked. Machines can't pick green beans, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, okra, strawberries, blackberries, etc. Even the junk you buy at the supermarket is hand picked by some poor Mexican.
The produce you buy at the supermarket, is from huge farms worked by hundreds of low paid immigrants who work 12-16 hours a day, 6 and sometimes 7 days a week. Even the so-called "organic" produce isn't really organic because they use the water runoff from chemically fertilized and pesticide sprayed fields to irrigate them. As for scaling back the farm, there are those that talk a good game, and then there those who play a good game. I am the latter. Life is supposed to be hard.
That's why I have little more than contempt for most of the so-called "green" movement and especially for the new wave of new age vegans and hippie wanna-be's. They talk and they talk but seldom do. Their claimed ethics and morality are little more than a fad and a decadent indulgence. I on the other hand, live a lifestyle in perfect sync with my personal ideology and beliefs. The reward is perfect health, a strong moral family, and a positive effect on my community. Can you say the same?
@gurumagoo AS I SAID, YOU COULD PRODUCE 10,000 LBS PER ACER, BUT YOUR STORY COMBINED WITH THE 6 GALLONS A DAY OF WATER MAKES IT TOTALLY BOGUS....AGAIN I'VE BEEN A VEGETARIAN FOR DECADES AND I'VE NEVER MET ANYONE WHO HAS MORE ENERGY THEN ME, BUT THAT'S PARTIALLY BECAUSE I KNOW HOW TO MANAGE IT...6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY, IS PROBABLY YOUR MAIN PROBLEM IF YOUR STORY IS ACCURATE...GIVE ME THE ADDRESS OF YOUR FARM AND I'LL GOOGLE EARTH IT AND GIVE YOU MY ASSESSMENT, I KNOW A LOT ABOUT THESE ISSUES.
It's an interesting idea......for those who can afford it. I myself don't have to worry about the costs involved since I don't live in a city and I am able to grow a great deal of my own food. This however, is not the case for for the majority of people, especially those who live in dense urban environments. The costs of fresh produce are extremely high, especially for those living in large cities.
I cane wait to eat mostly vegan! I just ate a bowl of grapes and I forgot how good thy were! Plus, eating raw veggies will be fun too because I love raw veggies like red peppers and broccoli!
are you eating all three food groups: fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds? Maybe you should add some raw milk to your diet. Cut out the raw red meat or lean meat, organic or not.
u sound like dr zakir naik or some kind of nun.....obsessed with only unidirectional thinking....ppl like u r highly prone to become extremists in any field....sorry to say but your video is more of an obsession than proper reasoning
Thank you. Im writing a book about migraine. I agree with you and there is one thing I dont get. Why do you say healthy fats are a problem? theese are very healthy for your hormones pms, migraine ect. Will you mail me at gitte@koldtoft.dk Like to maybe interview you for my book. regards Gitte from Denmark
@gitteglad Healthy fats aren't a problem, unless you eat too many of them. My only point is that fat is fat and too much of it causes a problem in the body. If you're going to eat fat, you definitely want it to be a healthy one like avocados, nuts and seeds. Just keep the intake below 10% and you won't have problems like blood sugar issues or candida. I'd be happy to email you. :0)
If you're writing a book, be careful not to misquote.
"theese are very healthy for your hormones pms, migraine ect."
What ratio and how much are you advocating? Nobody doubts 'healthy fats' are relatively healthy.
There are 2 essential fats and varied fruit diet provides them both in healthy ratios. Humans do not need more than 3-5% fat on a dry matter basis in their diet (RDA, 1989). And humans may benefit from even less as related species do.
how much do you spend a week for this diet? Typically I spend A LOT buying various and large amounts of (preferably organic) fruits. What's the secret?!
@xxSONisLOVExx I don't know how much I spend exactly, I just know I spend way less than I ever did when I was eating cooked food. The trick is to shop at local farmers markets & let the farmers get to know you. After a short while they'll give you discounts and if you buy in bulk, they'll usually give you much bigger discounts. You could also join a local raw food co-op. There are lots of great ways to make this work, depending on where you live. It just takes a little bit of searching. :0)
@thexcottoncandy No soy milk and no tea. However, you don't have to cut out everything at once, baby steps are good for starters. Of course, you can do anything you want, like drink tea or use spices but if you're following this diet strictly, those things are not part of the plan. :0)
If you are going to follow this diet, make sure you download Cron-O-Meter to ensure you're eating enough. Most people when they start out are way under eating. Aim for 2500 calories or more a day.
I'm 18 & started today. I ate prunes for breakfast(lunch since i woke up late) for dinner sliced up Zucchini and squash & I also ate a salad with mushrooms lettuce & tomatoes ect lol. Then later on I made a banana orange apple smoothie (:
I wanted to know if your allowed to eat salt, or have olive oil as a dressing and if you can drink tea. I'm so confused. Also, how do you eat your lentils and beans raw?! Thank you so much!! I think I'm doing this a few times throughout the year and the year
@thexcottoncandy This diet is extremely easy to follow. It's all the fresh, ripe, raw fruits and vegetables you care for, making sure at least 80% of your calories come from fruit and you get no more than 10% fat or 10% protein. Salt, spices and oils are not used & for good reason. Beans, lentils and grains are also not a part of this diet. If you want to know everything about this diet, check out The 80/10/10 Diet by Dr. Douglas Graham. Also check out his faq page on foodnsport / dot / com :0)
"you dont want to do high fat because its a problem in a body. too much fat is a problem whether its from healthy fats or not." hahahaha your totally contradicting yourself.
@rawsynergytv just the fact that your saying fat can be healthy is a contradiction when your claiming ALL fat is bad for you. Im not judging your goal though, i think its great that you want to promote a healthy lifestyle, however, there should be some balance.
@ayayaipysha I never said all fat is bad for you, silly! I said too much of any fat is not healthy. Fat is fat, whether it comes from an avocado or bacon, it's still fat. Too much of it is not good for you. If you're going to consume fats, it's best to eat healthy fats like avocado, nuts and seeds and keep it below 10%. Hope that clears things up. :0)
hello to ruffles that can fulfill, as that can be fashion-functional to think or actually nurse healthy steadily... standard food's flexible as taste to body. ripest avocados i've had in month seem insane # but i've incorp. also combined parts incomplete marinatin veggies etc. it salivates me for air dried greens integrating fat resolved vitamins and then both excites brain w/ energy. set . liver too's scale ok w/ useable intake if @ job ready. desire's wrong or context. w/ lipase all not a lie
I'd love to do the diet...I really would. I'm just not that great at convincing my parents that this is the diet for the family. It'd be really expensive to purchase all the health food, and their meals as well. So I'm stuck just shoveling the food that they buy down my throat.
I can't wait until I'm old enough to start planning out my own meals and shopping for myself. That'll be nice.
@SunflowerSeahorsie Well, no parent should refuse a request to at least add more fruits and veggies into the diet. You can help educate them slowly but surely on the benefits of eating healthier. You sound very intelligent and I bet you can come up with some creative ways to open their eyes. ;o) Sending lots of good wishes your way for an abundance of health and joy!
Sunflower, you can certainly pick and choose your foods from what's available.
I'm all for fresh vegetables. Farmers market veggies are fresher than grocery store veggies and not covered with wax.
But don't go vegan. Meat is energy dense food. It does not cause heart disease or make you fat. If meat were bad for you, our ancestors would have died out.
Check out the book Fat and Cholesterol are Good for You by Uffe Ravnskov, a Swedish doctor.
@AppleSouffle Funny how looks can be deceiving...including in advertising. The meat industry pays A LOT of money to try to make you believe that eating animal products is healthy. It's no different than cigarette companies, 50 years ago, saying their products were safe. Eventually, the truth comes out. You might benefit from watching the documentary "Eating." However, I understand, not everyone is ready for this info. Hopefully, your health will remain strong and you'll be symptom free forever.
@rawsynergytv In my opinion, everyone's body constitution is different, just do what works for you - but also recognize the fact that meat (especially raw red meat) increases your libido, gives you a lot of carnal energy for power and aggression if you ever need to do something really laborious or to tackle a big project... but the energy found in raw vegan diets is a different sort of natural energy, good for day to day living. But never forget that everything is context-dependent.
@rawsynergytv Really? Except humans have been eating consistently meat for 100,000s of years and we have NOT been consistently and constantly ingesting cigarette smoke. While I am not attacking you on raw foods, I have to say meat eating isn't the problem. It is the antibiotics, fillers, hormones, etc. that are cancerous and unhealthy. Raw food is awesome though, even better when you grow it out of your own backyard.
@thespecter2 Yes, I absolutely agree with you...those things are definitely a big contributor. However, they are finding a direct link between animal products and health issues like high cholesterol, arthritis, diabetes and many cancers. So it's not just meat that's a problem, it's all animal products. I really appreciate your respectful and thoughtful response. Thank you for sharing. :0)
Meat intake kills more people than all wars combined and routinely causes/maintains countless (yet largely preventable) maladies both psychological and physiological until early death.
"It is the antibiotics, fillers"
Fallacy of bifurcation. Its all of the above.
"hormones"
Hormones are in ALL meat, ESPECIALLY juvenile animals routinely slayed for meat industry yet real carnivores rarely eat them so frugivorous humans customarily consume more hormones than lions!
@thespecter2 Meat intake is a causal factor for virtually every degenerative disease and all the biggest killers. Name the disease, meat contributes to it. Shall we begin in alphabetical order? What 'concrete data' are u asking for?
@crisology No I don't. I'd rather hear about all the great lifelong benefits of being a "fruitarian" or being on the 80-10-10 diet or eating only raw foods. I have never heard of any of these being studied in-depth or being relative to good health, esp. on a global scale. Not only is it impossible for the masses to live like this, but data often doesn't support what is good to eat, but mainly what is good not to eat. And please quit the incoherent bullshit, if you knew what I meant then continue
crisology (22 hours ago) "Meat intake kills more people.."
thespecter (19 hours ago) "where is all the data on meat killing"
crisology (9 hours ago) "Shall we begin in alphabetical order?"
thespecter (9 hours ago) "No I don't. I'd rather hear about all the great lifelong benefits"
So meat intake DOES degrade the digestive system causing diseases through multiple mechanisms w/delayed outlet, acidosis, mucus production, impaired insulin response, cholesterol, high fat, heme Fe, NeuG5c, purines, etc
@thespecter2 All I meant is I didn't want to hear all the ongoing babble on how meat does this and that. When really, our saturated fat consumption in the US has decreased significantly over the past 50+ years and heart disease is steadily increasing. 200 years ago, cast iron pans and lard was a lot of how we cooked (US Americans). Lard is loaded with saturated fat, and of course, is an animal product. Why is the consumption of free range meat and lard decreasing and heat disease increasing?
@crisology And there are absolutely NO vegan societies. Even supposed "vegetarian societies" such as in India use eggs and dairy for sources of protein. And anyone with a basic anthropologic background knows we humans were always omnivorous. We are scavengers. The biggest misinformed fellow on youtube is the guy with the slicked back black hair claiming "We have always been vig-ans".

Appeal to popular opinion. And there are absolutely no entire 'societies' that breath healthy. Your point? Why look at others to see what to eat instead of actually developing your own understanding/experience? How long can you blame society? There are 'vegans' across cultures. Nobody said there are entire 'societies' that eat perfect.
"in India use eggs and dairy"
And they have gnarly menstruation symptoms, too + cancer, etc..
@crisology Again though, the menstruation and eggs only represents correlative data, if you want to call it data even. There are other societies that eat meat regularly and have low rates of heart disease, colon cancer, etc; all the so-called typical culprits from meat eating. It is correlative and subjective, that is why people continue to have an ongoing diet debate. And yes I have read "The China Study" and yes I found it interesting. But no more so then "Good Calories, Bad Calories".
"menstruation and eggs only represents correlative data"
Your message is incoherent. You're trying to figure out if humans are cursed w/debilitating menstruation symptoms because they consume meat or do they consume meat because they are cursed w/debilitating menstruation symptoms?
High fat, cooked food is 'correlated' w/hundreds of health conditions. u have to have correlation before causation. Cooked meat isn't EVEN correlated w/decreased symptoms. Hmm what is one to do w/available evidence?
@rawsynergytv you do look tired, can i ask how you got into a vegan lifestyle i think alot of vegan women have just progressed there from a basic diet through vanity.
being a vegan might make you slim but people can eat meat and be healthy i never get sick and all i eat is meat and vegetables i just stay away from the processed microwave junk.as long as its not because of the animals
I just love all of your videos Alicia and I watch them daily! Your information is so powerful and motivating. Thank you so much for getting the word out there that we really don't need animal products to be healthy. (((HUGS)))
@JaysRunner Hey, it's great to hear from you! How are you? I'm really happy the videos are helpful. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Big hugs to you!!
@rawsynergytv I'm doing SUPER! This new lifestyle has changed both myself and my husband and we are dropping pounds like crazy!!!!! We feel so good!!!. We finally got a Farmer's Market in our area and we will be shopping there from now on. You know something...it happened at just the right time! It's just a sign showing us that we are on the right path and this lifestyle was meant to be. Thank you so much Alicia. (((HUGS))))
@JaysRunner I'm so happy to hear that! Congratulations on your weight loss & good health, and also on the new farmers market...that's really exciting! I find those "perfect timing" experiences happen all the time since going raw. It's just one more of the amazing benefits. Thank YOU for your kind words and sharing. XOXO
FAKE FAKE FAKE - pay attention to her other videos. Notice 2 things. 1) She has a microwave oven powered on with the clock set? So why would a vegan keep a microwave oven powered up in the kitchen. 2) Now notice the stove... In some videos she has a barbecue rack on the stove, other videos that barbecue rack is off. Why would any raw vegan for many years have a barbecue rack come on and off a stove that is not being used? You would think the stove would be covered up years ago... FAKE .
@stevenabb Well Steven, I don't know where you live, but where I live every home comes with a stove and microwave. Until I have the ability to build my own home, I'm pretty much stuck with them because they're not mine to dispose of. The clock is set so I know what time it is. That you care so much about my diet is sweet.
you can gain weight by eating vegan. It doesn't matter whether its fat calories or protein calories. excess calories get stored as fat. 3500 calories equal 1 lb so if your bmr is 1200 kcal, and you eat 1500 each day, you'll gain a pound every 12 days. And your diet only shows 1 source of protein which is dangerous. 50 grams is the min and if you work out you need more so you don't start to atrophy. Vegan is very hard to do unless you do lots of research.
@DaNitheG1rL There are lots of overweight vegans but there's not one overweight low fat raw vegan who properly follows the 80/10/10 diet. It's not possible. There's protein in every whole food, including fruit and especially greens. Sure if you're eating an apple for breakfast, one banana for lunch and a salad for dinner, then you definitely will have a problem but with this diet you eat a LOT of fruits and vegetables and get all the nutrition you need. :o)
@brunetbabe04 I stay motivated because if I fall into any of those temptations, all my health issues that vanished following this diet, will quickly return and I really don't want that to happen. There's lots of recipes online if you go to 30bananasaday/dot/com or lowfatrawvegan/dot/com and search recipes. Or, if you google low fat raw vegan recipes, you should find a lot of options. :o)
But one question, before starting your raw food diet, did you eat healthy? I mean did you eat vegetables like green beens, swiss chards, spinachs, etc cooked just bolied or with vapor and a bit of olive oil and salt every day? did you eat salads with lechuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives every day too? did you eat a lot of pork or you ate more beaf and chicken and cooked grilled not fried? did you drink lots of water? I mean because lots of people complain about their lack of health but it
but it is because they didn't eat healthy enough, they were maybe lacking of vitamins or proteins, they didn't eat enough vegetables or enough meat or milk and cheese or they ate that but eating junk food too and since they started eating raw food they feel better but it is not because they eat raw it is because they started eating healthy and really waching what they ate and also counting proteins vitamins etc of what they eat. Some times what you just need is to eat healthy.
@ilargitxo2 Yes, I ate very healthy. I still enjoyed pizza or a burger and fries on occasion but for the most part I ate lots of fruits, cooked vegetables and salads. I ate lots of chicken and turkey. I agree, a lot of people will feel a huge difference if they just remove the junk from their diet. However, there's still a giant difference in how a person will feel when they eat mostly raw foods. It really takes you to another level of health and vitality. :o)
@rawsynergytv question or ascertainment the answer is the same,my opinion is better be a vegan than raw foodish for your health for the environment and first of all for ethical reasons
I am very curious about eating raw. At the moment, I eat very clean but not completely raw. You are such an inspiration! Going to watch more of your videos now! (:
@w0rsel I wish you much success with your diet and health and hope that works well for you throughout your entire life. However, for your own benefit, don't knock a healthy diet until you've tried it, as there is absolutely no hype here. Peace.
I love watching your vids! I have been transitioning into the vegan diet and now I'm trying to include more raw foods in my diet. For the most part it's really what I eat...I have cooked certain veggies, but slowly trying to avoid that lol. Since Starting this diet I agree I feel SO much better, NO CRAMPS OR PMS...which is crazy. Becuase I used to need pills for my intense ones! Anywho...Thanks for the helpful advice and I've never been so happy eating like this. People need to get with it! :)
i would never call any strict diet healthy. every time i do that to myself my skin turns horrendous in a way it never has before, including burning/extreme itching. stupid strict idiotic diets like cutting out ALL sugar possible....my eczema exploded & spread shortly after
Vegan diets are nice, but after eating meat for 22 years non stop, I get headaches, my eyes hurt and I can't weight lift when I go on a vegan diet. It's a good way to lose weight though. When I do go vegan the best foods for protein are:
I was the same way, no energy, weak. brain fog, headaches etc. until I started eating plenty of calories from fruit carbs. Now, I'm a powerhouse with a massive amount of energy, strength and stamina. I also get just the right amount of protein from fruit and greens. I log everything I eat In Cron-O-Meter. No headaches or other aches of any kind. I could never go back. I remember being in your position though. It's kind of scary to cross over.
Eat more fruit! You are most likely depriving yourself of calories, to succeed at a lfrv diet you have to eat lots and lots of fruit. If just eating mostly bananas all day I normally go through around 25-30 in a day. Protein is never a problem if your eating enough fruit.
@ebirch90 fruit does not contain a significant source of protein, it contains less than one gram. but I seriously hope your not eating 25-30 bananas, because too much potassium can cause cardiac arrest :/
@DaNitheG1rL I used to think just like you. Then I did my research, tried this diet and experienced massive changes in my body for the better. If all my health issues vanished and I feel better than ever, I must be doing something right.
The sugar in fruit tends to build up, especially when diabetes runs in your family, so my doctor said it would be unwise to eat that much fruit. Soy beans on the other hand are ok, almonds too. Sugar free soymilk does wonders.
The sugar in fruit tends to build up, especially when diabetes runs in your family, so my doctor said it would be unwise to eat that much fruit. Soy beans on the other hand are ok, almonds too. Sugar free soymilk does wonders.
Also, there is NOT enough protein in a fruit. An apple alone can only provide like 6 grams of protein tops. If you're like me and you like to weight lift, eating a chicken breast strip is so much easier.
The link below provides a list of common fruit, with their protein.

losing the headaches is definitely a bonus, except for 1 hangover I'm headache free for 6 months i guess - woo!
Pineapple, sauerkraut & some probiotics are great for helping the digestion
I eat coconut oil, olive oil and avocado for fat and supplement with chlorella for protein and stuff. I'm trying to eat less fruit and more veg - juicing is the way to go.
Cant you also include meat and other animal products so long as they come from good sources? Pasture raised Grass-fed beef is clean; no preservatives, hormones, or other factors. Its low in saturated fat and high in omega-3's.
If you're going to include meat and other animal products, then it would definitely be best to consider all those options when buying. However, that's not part of the 80/10/10 or low fat, raw vegan diet. The difference in how you feel without animal products on a lfrv diet is spectacular. :o)
you got to be kidding me you get hotter and hotter every other video i see of you.its driving me crazy but thats oka stay hot and raw dont change for anyone.
I'm a guy and skinny regardless of what I eat, been unable to gain weight for years.
I'm very interested in adopting the living food lifestyle but I'm very worried about losing weight, I have in fact for many years been trying to gain weight without success, even when eating plenty of meat and junk food.
@smoky2004 My situation was the same when I started out on raw foods. I was very slim and had difficulty gaining. The truth is that our bodies were designed to be slim. The best way to gain weight on this diet is to do weight training. I lost some weight but I gained some back in muscle. The most important thing is how you feel on this diet and I feel great.
@smoky2004 eating raw puts you at the right weight for you. You might lose some in the beginning, but after a little while, when your body rebalances, then you will be at the right weight.
5ft 10, 120lbs for as far back as I can remember, not a good look for a guy in todays image conscious society. I have been this weight for over 10 years, it never fluctuates regardless of how much or what i eat.
Then perhaps your body is just *meant* to be at that weight? it is underweight, however, its not a big deal. My really good friend is raw too, and she's super skinny (ex-pro-model) and shes HEALTHY, but skinny still. If your weight doesn't change, then you should at least know on a raw diet that your body is running at optimal, which is far better than having a bad diet and being unhealthy inside at the same weight. Oh, and perhaps look at working out? Bulk up your muscle mass to gain weight.
No, not at all. My teeth have never been better. The last time I had my teeth cleaned at the dentist, she couldn't find any tartar and I was out of there in about 20 minutes.
I take really good care of my teeth, brushing after meals and flossing everyday. Dental hygiene is very important. You must take care of your teeth. I've found my teeth and gums have improved since becoming raw and even more so on 80 10 10. So don't worry.
You're right. Losing weight is just a natural thing that happens for most people when they first start out with this lifestyle. My body has balanced out and my weight has remained the same for many months now. I feel great and that was my purpose in starting this whole journey. :o)
your so gorgeous :)

MONEY!

QUOTE FROM MAYO CLINIC

AGAIN FOR ANYONE READING THE GURUMAGOOTROLL'S NONSENCE, DRINKING MUCH OVER A GALLON A DAY IS DANEROUS....I'VE WORKED IN 120 WEATHER FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME AND I'M IN SUPER EXCELLENT HEALTH AS A VEGAN/VEGETARIAN...IF YOU DON'T COMBINE SOME KINDS OF ELECTROLYTES WITH THE WATER YOU CAN BECOME VERY ILL....THE GURUTROLL SHOULD BE BLOCKED AT THIS POINT AND POSSIBLY TERMINATED FROM YOUTUBE BECAUSE HE'S ATTEMPTING TO SPREAD ABSURD INFORMATION THAT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS TO THE UNINFORMED...WHAT A TROLL
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago
FOR ANYONE READING THIS, 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY WOULD KILL MOST PEOPLE, OR ATLEAST MAKE THEM VERY ILL...AND YEA SOME PEOPLE MAY NEED ANIMAL PROTIEN IN SMALL AMOUNTS, BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAINTAIN A BALANCED DIET..THAT MUCH WATER ROBS THE BODY OF SALTS AND WILL CREATE A STATE OF INTOXICATION, THAT COMBINED WITH THE REST OF THE BULLSHIT MAKES THE STORY HIGHLY IMPLAUSIBLE, BUT ANYTHING MAY BE POSSIBLE, SO LET'S SEE THE THE HARD DATA TO ANALYZE THE STORY FURTHER.
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago

@whothehellgivesadamn I went to Iraq in 2006 I was stationed in Kirkuk and do not know ANYONE that drank 9 gallons of water a day, water was ALWAYS AVAILABLE, I mean it was EVERYWHERE, in bottle form in 1 liter bottles, even on the HOTTEST days, I don't know ANYONE that drank 9 gallons of water, this guy sounds like he is either a wannabe solider or is just flat out lying.
smuwakil 3 months ago
@smuwakil RIGHT, I LIVED IN THE DESERT FOR MANY YEARS AND WATER IS AN ISSUE, BUT IT'S WELL KNOWN THAT OVER DRINKING WATER IS VERY DANGEROUS...ANYTHING OVER 1 GALLON PER DAY STARTS TO GET DANGEROUS...MAYBE 2 OR 3 WOULD BE THE MAX AND THEN YOU WOULD GET SICK OR DIE..HE STARTED OUT TRYING TO HIJACK A VEGAN SITE WITH A BUNCH OF NONSENSE AND THEN CONTINUED LYING AND GOT ALL MESSED UP BECAUSE HE'S PROBABLY NEVER EVEN WORKED OUTSIDE, THE GUY IS JUST A DUMB TROLL.

how do i do 8-1-1 without having to camp next to the washroom?
g9g9g9 4 months ago
@g9g9g9 It sounds like your body is taking the opportunity to do some major cleansing while you're eating this way. That's a good thing for your body but not so convenient for a busy person with a life full of activity and things to do. You may need to work your way into it. Perhaps starting more slowly working your way up to larger amounts of fruit as time goes by until your body gets used to it. Maybe focusing on some denser fruits like bananas and dates for a little while might help too.
rawsynergytv 4 months ago

I've found that wisdom is the middle ground between extremes.
gurumagoo 5 months ago
I do a great deal of outside physical labor and I found over time that vegetarianism was simply unsustainable in my lifestyle. Before I went vegetarian I was a healthy 220 pounds. I lost a lot of weight after going vegetarian but the weight loss wouldn't stop. After a year of veganism, I practically had to eat all day just to maintain weight. I didn't look healthy anymore, and I was always tired.
gurumagoo 5 months ago
First of all, I am not a vegan. I am not even a vegetarian. I believe in a balanced approach to diet. About 90% of my food intake is plant matter. The remaining 10% is a combination of dairy (homemade cheese and buttermilk) and animal flesh that I harvest myself. I know all about veganism as I was a vegetarian for 2 years and a strict vegan for just over 1 year.
gurumagoo 5 months ago
@gurumagoo Youre just one of those people who is trying to give veganism a bad name. If you even ever were a vegan then you must have done something wrong that made you weak. You were probably undercarbed or just ate too little in general.
thatfruitarianchick 4 months ago
Sorry, but you got it wrong. I averaged about 5000 calories a day. I own and run an organic vegetable farm and work around 12 hours a day outside. With veganism, eating enough fruits and vegatables to keep my body going was like a full time job. I got tired of constantly having to make myself eat. I can't help it you don't like what I have to say. Veganism may work for the average person in America, because Americans are mostly sedentary. A person who is extremely active will have trouble.
gurumagoo 4 months ago
@gurumagoo Fine. I just find it sad that animals have to be killed but at least I think it´s better that you hunt them yourself than that you´d buy the meat from factories.
thatfruitarianchick 4 months ago
YOU COULD EVEN BE EATING WHAT YOU'RE FARMING AND YOUR CROPS MAY BE LACKING NUTRIENTS BECAUSE OF YOUR POOR FARMING TECHNIQUES....ANYWAY, WHAT DID YOU EAT DURING THAT PERIOD?
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago
Every morning I'd drink a 1500 hundred calorie fruit and vegatable shake I made myself. Tons of citrus, carrots, apples, etc.... Included about 500 fat calories from peanuts and avacodo. Lunch would be a giant green salad, lots of green vegatables, soy, and usually about 3 slices of homemade pie or cobbler. Dinner was more of the same. In between meals I ate fruit and vegatables throughout the day. Usually whatever was at hand. And of course I'd drink around 6 gallons of water a day.
gurumagoo 4 months ago
@gurumagoo ALSO THE 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY IS TOTAL BULLSHIT, I'VE WORKED ON BUILDING PROJECTS IN THE DESERT IN 120 DEGREE WEATHER FOR MONTHS AT A TIME, AND 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY IS TOTAL BULLSHIT...MAYBE TWO OR THREE...BUT SIX IS STUPID...YOU SHOULD WEAR A HAT..AND WEAR LIGHT COTTONS AND ALSO LEARN TO MOVE IN A MORE GRACEFUL MANNER, IF YOU'RE ACCURATE ABOUT THAT, THEN THAT'S A BIG INDICATOR RIGHT THERE ALONG WITH THE REST OF YOUR STORY THAT YOUR WHOLE LIFE STYLE IS A MESS TO BEGIN WITH.
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago
I tried all kinds of things to keep weight on; everything from eating pure soy protein with a spoon to eating peanuts, almonds, peacans, and walnuts all day. Nothing worked. Went to 2 doctors and a professional vegan dietitian. Both doctors recommended that I quit the veganism and at least start eating dairy again. Went out, bought 6 Jersey cows and started making homemade cheese, butter, and cream. Things started getting better and about 6 months later I quit being a vegetarian altogether.
gurumagoo 4 months ago
Since then I haven't had any more problems. I don't eat a lot of meat, eggs, or dairy; but it does account for a solid 10%-15% of my total diet. Maybe as much as 25% during the hotter months and the fattier the better. All the meat, dairy, and eggs I eat are home produced. Everything you can think of. Chickens, cows, sheep, geese, and pigs. I even have 29 ostriches I raise for eggs and their crap which makes about the worlds best fertilizer. I also do a lot of hunting.
gurumagoo 4 months ago
I don't doubt you are being honest about being physically active. What I do doubt is that you and I have the same idea of what constitutes a "physical existence". I run a 109 acre farm in central Louisiana and between myself and 8 employees, an easy day is when we don't have have 10,000 Ibs of produce to collect by hand or a quarter mile of irrigation ditches to repair. The work is never finished and you're always behind. I don't get "days off". It's a 7 days a week job.
gurumagoo 4 months ago

@gurumagoo SO IF I WERE YOU ID RETHINK MY ENTIRE EXISTENCE TO WHERE IT RUNS SMOOTHLY TO BEGIN WITH...FOR EXAMPLE ON A BUILDING LEVEL YOU SHOULD COMBINE ENERGY PRODUCTION WITH ENERGY EFFICIENCY TO ACHIEVE A NET ZERO SELF SUFFICIENCY...I'VE STUDIED AND PRACTICED THE MOST EFFECTIVE MANUAL COMBAT...EFFECTIVE FIGHTING IS ALL ABOUT BALANCE AND CONTROL AND TECHNIQUE, IT'S NOT ABOUT WASTING YOURSELF IN A MANIC RAGE OF CONFUSION, THAT MAY WORK FOR A WHILE, BUT ITS NOT THE OPTIMAL PATH..
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago
@gurumagoo THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF WAYS YOU CAN STREAMLINE YOUR FARM THAT REQUIRE LESS ENERGY, WHILE PRODUCING HIGHER QUALITY PRODUCE. CARL LEWIS WAS THE FASTEST RUNNER FOR A WHILE AND HE WAS A VEGAN...HIS RECORD DID GET BEAT THOUGH BY SOME GUY WHO IS 6'5 AND NOT A VEGAN, SO I'M NOT THAT DOGMATIC ABOUT ALL THIS, I'M JUST SAYING THAT I WOULD LOOK TO OPTIMIZE ON EVERY LEVEL IF I WERE YOU...ALSO IF I WERE WORKING ON YOUR FARM I WOULD BE CRUISING THROUGHOUT THE DAY, BECAUSE I DON'T WASTE ENERGY
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago
@gurumagoo ONE OTHER AREA OF TOTAL BULLSHIT IN YOUR STORY IS 10,000 POUNDS OF PRODUCE TO COLLECT BY HAND PER DAY....FROM A 109 ACRE FARM....YEA RIGHT.....AND YOU EACH DRINK 6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY....THAT ALL SOUNDS LIKE VERY POOR TROLLING TECHNIQUE TO ME...WHEN YOU MAKE UP A STORY, YOU SHOULD TRY TO MAKE IT SEMI BELIEVABLE...AND TECHNICALLY COHERENT...INSTEAD OF JUST TROLLING...BUT SINCE YOU DON'T KNOW THAT MUCH ABOUT FARMING TO BEGIN WITH YOU GOT YOURSELF TIED UP IN YOUR STORY.
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago
@gurumagoo YOU CAN GET 10,000 POUNDS OF PRODUCE PER ACRE, BUT YOU'RE ALSO DESCRIBING A FARM WITH SPACE FOR ANIMALS AND DOING ALL OF THAT BY HAND YOURSELF, IS RIDICULOUS....IT MAY BE POSSIBLE, BUT AT ANY RATE, IF I WERE YOU ID RETHINK THE WHOLE STORY AND THE WHOLE OPERATION AND EITHER SCALE THE STORY BACK OR SCALE THE OPERATION BACK...BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE A MESS.
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago
About 40 acres of my farm is peach and walnut trees. The animals I do have are not used commercially. I rotate them through seasonally fallow fields to replenish the soil. First cattle, then sheep and goats, then geese and ducks. In this way I avoid using artificial fertilizers. Market produce must be hand picked. Machines can't pick green beans, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, okra, strawberries, blackberries, etc. Even the junk you buy at the supermarket is hand picked by some poor Mexican.
gurumagoo 4 months ago
The produce you buy at the supermarket, is from huge farms worked by hundreds of low paid immigrants who work 12-16 hours a day, 6 and sometimes 7 days a week. Even the so-called "organic" produce isn't really organic because they use the water runoff from chemically fertilized and pesticide sprayed fields to irrigate them. As for scaling back the farm, there are those that talk a good game, and then there those who play a good game. I am the latter. Life is supposed to be hard.
gurumagoo 4 months ago
That's why I have little more than contempt for most of the so-called "green" movement and especially for the new wave of new age vegans and hippie wanna-be's. They talk and they talk but seldom do. Their claimed ethics and morality are little more than a fad and a decadent indulgence. I on the other hand, live a lifestyle in perfect sync with my personal ideology and beliefs. The reward is perfect health, a strong moral family, and a positive effect on my community. Can you say the same?
gurumagoo 4 months ago
@gurumagoo AS I SAID, YOU COULD PRODUCE 10,000 LBS PER ACER, BUT YOUR STORY COMBINED WITH THE 6 GALLONS A DAY OF WATER MAKES IT TOTALLY BOGUS....AGAIN I'VE BEEN A VEGETARIAN FOR DECADES AND I'VE NEVER MET ANYONE WHO HAS MORE ENERGY THEN ME, BUT THAT'S PARTIALLY BECAUSE I KNOW HOW TO MANAGE IT...6 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY, IS PROBABLY YOUR MAIN PROBLEM IF YOUR STORY IS ACCURATE...GIVE ME THE ADDRESS OF YOUR FARM AND I'LL GOOGLE EARTH IT AND GIVE YOU MY ASSESSMENT, I KNOW A LOT ABOUT THESE ISSUES.
whothehellgivesadamn 4 months ago
It's an interesting idea......for those who can afford it. I myself don't have to worry about the costs involved since I don't live in a city and I am able to grow a great deal of my own food. This however, is not the case for for the majority of people, especially those who live in dense urban environments. The costs of fresh produce are extremely high, especially for those living in large cities.

Will you mail me at gitte@koldtoft.dk Like to maybe interview you for my book. regards Gitte from Denmark
gitteglad 10 months ago

What's the secret?!
xxSONisLOVExx 1 year ago
@xxSONisLOVExx I don't know how much I spend exactly, I just know I spend way less than I ever did when I was eating cooked food. The trick is to shop at local farmers markets & let the farmers get to know you. After a short while they'll give you discounts and if you buy in bulk, they'll usually give you much bigger discounts. You could also join a local raw food co-op. There are lots of great ways to make this work, depending on where you live. It just takes a little bit of searching. :0)

the rest of the time I plan on going vegetarian since it's easier & I love my cheese lol
Also you can't drink soy milk either right? I need a list on like what you cant and can eat haha.
thexcottoncandy 1 year ago
@thexcottoncandy No soy milk and no tea. However, you don't have to cut out everything at once, baby steps are good for starters. Of course, you can do anything you want, like drink tea or use spices but if you're following this diet strictly, those things are not part of the plan. :0)
If you are going to follow this diet, make sure you download Cron-O-Meter to ensure you're eating enough. Most people when they start out are way under eating. Aim for 2500 calories or more a day.
rawsynergytv 1 year ago
I'm 18 & started today. I ate prunes for breakfast(lunch since i woke up late) for dinner sliced up Zucchini and squash & I also ate a salad with mushrooms lettuce & tomatoes ect lol. Then later on I made a banana orange apple smoothie (:
I wanted to know if your allowed to eat salt, or have olive oil as a dressing and if you can drink tea. I'm so confused. Also, how do you eat your lentils and beans raw?! Thank you so much!! I think I'm doing this a few times throughout the year and the year
thexcottoncandy 1 year ago
@thexcottoncandy This diet is extremely easy to follow. It's all the fresh, ripe, raw fruits and vegetables you care for, making sure at least 80% of your calories come from fruit and you get no more than 10% fat or 10% protein. Salt, spices and oils are not used & for good reason. Beans, lentils and grains are also not a part of this diet. If you want to know everything about this diet, check out The 80/10/10 Diet by Dr. Douglas Graham. Also check out his faq page on foodnsport / dot / com :0)

SunflowerSeahorsie 1 year ago
@SunflowerSeahorsie Well, no parent should refuse a request to at least add more fruits and veggies into the diet. You can help educate them slowly but surely on the benefits of eating healthier. You sound very intelligent and I bet you can come up with some creative ways to open their eyes. ;o) Sending lots of good wishes your way for an abundance of health and joy!
rawsynergytv 1 year ago
Sunflower, you can certainly pick and choose your foods from what's available.
I'm all for fresh vegetables. Farmers market veggies are fresher than grocery store veggies and not covered with wax.
But don't go vegan. Meat is energy dense food. It does not cause heart disease or make you fat. If meat were bad for you, our ancestors would have died out.
Check out the book Fat and Cholesterol are Good for You by Uffe Ravnskov, a Swedish doctor.
She means well but she looks thin and weak.
AppleSouffle 1 year ago
@AppleSouffle Funny how looks can be deceiving...including in advertising. The meat industry pays A LOT of money to try to make you believe that eating animal products is healthy. It's no different than cigarette companies, 50 years ago, saying their products were safe. Eventually, the truth comes out. You might benefit from watching the documentary "Eating." However, I understand, not everyone is ready for this info. Hopefully, your health will remain strong and you'll be symptom free forever.
rawsynergytv 1 year ago 6
@rawsynergytv In my opinion, everyone's body constitution is different, just do what works for you - but also recognize the fact that meat (especially raw red meat) increases your libido, gives you a lot of carnal energy for power and aggression if you ever need to do something really laborious or to tackle a big project... but the energy found in raw vegan diets is a different sort of natural energy, good for day to day living. But never forget that everything is context-dependent.
pathsounds 1 year ago
@rawsynergytv Really? Except humans have been eating consistently meat for 100,000s of years and we have NOT been consistently and constantly ingesting cigarette smoke. While I am not attacking you on raw foods, I have to say meat eating isn't the problem. It is the antibiotics, fillers, hormones, etc. that are cancerous and unhealthy. Raw food is awesome though, even better when you grow it out of your own backyard.
thespecter2 1 year ago
@thespecter2 Yes, I absolutely agree with you...those things are definitely a big contributor. However, they are finding a direct link between animal products and health issues like high cholesterol, arthritis, diabetes and many cancers. So it's not just meat that's a problem, it's all animal products. I really appreciate your respectful and thoughtful response. Thank you for sharing. :0)
rawsynergytv 1 year ago
"meat eating isn't the problem"
Meat intake kills more people than all wars combined and routinely causes/maintains countless (yet largely preventable) maladies both psychological and physiological until early death.
"It is the antibiotics, fillers"
Fallacy of bifurcation. Its all of the above.
"hormones"
Hormones are in ALL meat, ESPECIALLY juvenile animals routinely slayed for meat industry yet real carnivores rarely eat them so frugivorous humans customarily consume more hormones than lions!
crisology 8 months ago
@crisology So where is all the data on meat killing more people than all wars combined? And I don't mean correlative data, I mean concrete data.
thespecter2 8 months ago
@thespecter2 Meat intake is a causal factor for virtually every degenerative disease and all the biggest killers. Name the disease, meat contributes to it. Shall we begin in alphabetical order? What 'concrete data' are u asking for?
crisology 8 months ago
@crisology No I don't. I'd rather hear about all the great lifelong benefits of being a "fruitarian" or being on the 80-10-10 diet or eating only raw foods. I have never heard of any of these being studied in-depth or being relative to good health, esp. on a global scale. Not only is it impossible for the masses to live like this, but data often doesn't support what is good to eat, but mainly what is good not to eat. And please quit the incoherent bullshit, if you knew what I meant then continue

So meat intake DOES degrade the digestive system causing diseases through multiple mechanisms w/delayed outlet, acidosis, mucus production, impaired insulin response, cholesterol, high fat, heme Fe, NeuG5c, purines, etc
crisology 8 months ago
@thespecter2 All I meant is I didn't want to hear all the ongoing babble on how meat does this and that. When really, our saturated fat consumption in the US has decreased significantly over the past 50+ years and heart disease is steadily increasing. 200 years ago, cast iron pans and lard was a lot of how we cooked (US Americans). Lard is loaded with saturated fat, and of course, is an animal product. Why is the consumption of free range meat and lard decreasing and heat disease increasing?

@speculatingspectator "there are absolutely NO vegan societies"
Appeal to popular opinion. And there are absolutely no entire 'societies' that breath healthy. Your point? Why look at others to see what to eat instead of actually developing your own understanding/experience? How long can you blame society? There are 'vegans' across cultures. Nobody said there are entire 'societies' that eat perfect.
"in India use eggs and dairy"
And they have gnarly menstruation symptoms, too + cancer, etc..
crisology 8 months ago
@crisology Again though, the menstruation and eggs only represents correlative data, if you want to call it data even. There are other societies that eat meat regularly and have low rates of heart disease, colon cancer, etc; all the so-called typical culprits from meat eating. It is correlative and subjective, that is why people continue to have an ongoing diet debate. And yes I have read "The China Study" and yes I found it interesting. But no more so then "Good Calories, Bad Calories".
thespecter2 8 months ago
"menstruation and eggs only represents correlative data"
Your message is incoherent. You're trying to figure out if humans are cursed w/debilitating menstruation symptoms because they consume meat or do they consume meat because they are cursed w/debilitating menstruation symptoms?
High fat, cooked food is 'correlated' w/hundreds of health conditions. u have to have correlation before causation. Cooked meat isn't EVEN correlated w/decreased symptoms. Hmm what is one to do w/available evidence?

Why would any raw vegan for many years have a barbecue rack come on and off a stove that is not being used? You would think the stove would be covered up years ago... FAKE .

you can gain weight by eating vegan.
DaNitheG1rL 1 year ago
@DaNitheG1rL There are lots of overweight vegans but there's not one overweight low fat raw vegan who properly follows the 80/10/10 diet. It's not possible. There's protein in every whole food, including fruit and especially greens. Sure if you're eating an apple for breakfast, one banana for lunch and a salad for dinner, then you definitely will have a problem but with this diet you eat a LOT of fruits and vegetables and get all the nutrition you need. :o)

but it is because they didn't eat healthy enough, they were maybe lacking of vitamins or proteins, they didn't eat enough vegetables or enough meat or milk and cheese or they ate that but eating junk food too and since they started eating raw food they feel better but it is not because they eat raw it is because they started eating healthy and really waching what they ate and also counting proteins vitamins etc of what they eat. almonds
tofu
soy beans

Eat more fruit! You are most likely depriving yourself of calories, to succeed at a lfrv diet you have to eat lots and lots of fruit. If just eating mostly bananas all day I normally go through around 25-30 in a day. Protein is never a problem if your eating enough fruit.

Also, there is NOT enough protein in a fruit. An apple alone can only provide like 6 grams of protein tops. If you're like me and you like to weight lift, eating a chicken breast strip is so much easier.

Pineapple, sauerkraut & some probiotics are great for helping the digestion
I eat coconut oil, olive oil and avocado for fat and supplement with chlorella for protein and stuff. I'm trying to eat less fruit and more veg - juicing is the way to go.

Hello, Hotty McHotster. Seeing a beaut like you is all the more reason to go vegan.

Cant you also include meat and other animal products so long as they come from good sources? Pasture raised Grass-fed beef is clean; no preservatives, hormones, or other factors. Its low in saturated fat and high in omega-3's.

@spellwing777
If you're going to include meat and other animal products, then it would definitely be best to consider all those options when buying. However, that's not part of the 80/10/10 or low fat, raw vegan diet. The difference in how you feel without animal products on a lfrv diet is spectacular. :o)

Bulk up your muscle mass to gain weight.

what does 80 10 10 mean?
I'm so gonna do this !!!
but on raw food is there no pasta, rice, bread, crisp bread, yogurt or dairy allowed? or fish or meat?
is it just fruit, veggies and nuts?
faintsunrise 2 years ago
80/10/10 is a low fat, raw vegan diet that's made up of at least 80% carbohydrates and a maximum of 10% protein and a maximum of 10% fat.
It's mostly fruit, with greens and vegetables and a small amount of fat. All fresh, ripe and raw.

im starting 80 10 10 too are you worried about your teeth? i am a little.
spekgirl1 2 years ago
