One of my friends restored a Sprite just like yours. It wasn't the fastest car on the road, but it sure was a lot of fun. Notice that I'm using the past tense. He was driving it one day when an illegal alien from Mexico with no license or insurance ran a stop sign and hit my friend's Sprite. The Sprite was totalled, and my friend got to spend some time in a hospital wih a broken leg. A couple years later he bought another Sprite and restored that one, too.
Wow, that panel gap IS impressive. We've just had a lot of body work done on our MGB GT, and are very happy with the results - again, probably better than the way it came out of the factory! Lovely car.
