The child is significantly less likely to have allergies pertaining to the FT1 protien produced in animal oil glands and saliva. I have had 4 pit bull/rotty mixes and I have never ever had any problems with my dogs. Any breed of dog is dangerous if you do not train them correctly. a trainer that was known tri state wide said that the most often breed of dog that bites is a lab. Not because it's a bad breed, but that the dog that most families get and most often families don't train their dog(s) or their kids.

Pitts are only dangerous if taught to be. ANY dog can turn on you no matter what breed. Chihuahua's, Lhasa apso's and cocker spanials all bite a lot more often statistically speaking but you only hear about the "butch' breeds like this biting because they're capable of doing more damage when they do, but it's disproportionate and people are afraid of them for it. All dogs no matter the breed should be supervised with little children just like in this video.

The point of this whole thing is that the dog in this video is not unpredictable, or they wouldn't have put the video up. As you can see, it is a perfectly trained dog with good owners. People can train dogs like this. I've done it and many others have too. It doesn't matter what breed they are.
There are many reports of the trained and normally docile family pitbull killing a child. Your argument to this is the generalization and assumption that 'Blame the owner not the dog, they didn't train it well enough.' Not only could you not possibly know this, it's an insult to the family of the child.

The child is significantly less likely to have allergies pertaining to the FT1 protien produced in animal oil glands and saliva. I have had 4 pit bull/rotty mixes and I have never ever had any problems with my dogs. Any breed of dog is dangerous if you do not train them correctly. a trainer that was known tri state wide said that the most often breed of dog that bites is a lab. Not because it's a bad breed, but that the dog that most families get and most often families don't train their dog(s) or their kids.

Pitts are only dangerous if taught to be. ANY dog can turn on you no matter what breed. Chihuahua's, Lhasa apso's and cocker spanials all bite a lot more often statistically speaking but you only hear about the "butch' breeds like this biting because they're capable of doing more damage when they do, but it's disproportionate and people are afraid of them for it. All dogs no matter the breed should be supervised with little children just like in this video.

@sho0ot3r IF you dont continually service and work on your car, dont try to keep it in tip top shape and put the work into it to make it predictable and safe then it isnt safe, it is in fact unpredictable and unsafe because due to lack of care and tending too you have no idea what could fail. This is the same with a dog, sure you cant monitor its brain or test it but if you dont put in the neccessary work and upkeeping then it is in fact also unpredictable.

That is a stupid thing to do. An owner never really knows their dog, they just think they do, hence you hear of many attacks in the home. Personally I value human life over a dogs life so I would never put a baby in the same environment as a dog.

Being a responsible owner of Pits or any breed would make this required reading.

Some animals arent raised well and arent shown how to react to new things such as babies or another animal. It all depends the owner. For one, it is the owners, and the only reason why there so " vicious" is because they TRAIN them to be that way. Or for example, some of them were treated very badly and have a very bad temper due to all of the abuse they went through some can be saved, and unfortunately some cannot be. Animals are like people when it comes to emotions, they think that just because it's an animal they can't feel anything.

You do realize you can show that same bias for any dog breed right???? I just googled poodle and lab attacks and got tons of pages for each of those breeds. Damn scary poodles should be kept on big chains right? You can make pretty much any dog breed look frightening if you try hard enough and I give you credit for trying.

German Shepherds are strong and sometimes aggressive dogs and so are labs (strong not aggressive) where are all the videos and stories them killing children?

Two adults were mauled to death by American bulldogs (Ann Arbor News, Nov 01, 2007). There was the death of a 6-week-old baby by the family's Pomeranian (Los Angeles Times, Oct 05, 2000). Still another is the black Lab puppy responsible for killing a 2 month baby while the mother was sleeping ( Tulsa World, May 1, 2009). Like I said ...if you try hard enough...
