this reminds me of my mxr blow torch i can get one setting to sound good, real good but if you change it to anything else it lacks big time. it seems fuzz pedals are an accuired taste and when the pedals name is hairy balls all you can do its pass, but i guess the name says it all this specific pedal sucks hairy balls

the normal fuzz doesn't do much, rather use a fulltone or something. but together with the boost... major rumble going on! i can imagine tryina play kyuss stuff with this!

have a look at other hairy balls demos and you will see that if you turn down the gate knob, you have a full fuzz sound!!! (you don't see that very well in this vid...)
