Why does every foreigner think Americans are retarded it's annoying. Ok some of us might be overweight and yes for the amount of development in our country there are no excuses for the amount of illiterate or high school drop outs. But not all of us are redneck white trash and overweight. I speak 2 languages as well as most of the people in my high school. Im taking AP level classes and the class I'm in consist of 40 or so people.

Wow, 2 languages? Average foreigners speak up to 3 languages, I'll be able to speak 4 languages in the future, because I already speak German, English, Spanish and because I want to study history I've to learn Latin. Then I'm also learning Finnish in my spare time and might have to learn French one day. So, 6 languages. Average in Germany is 3 up to 4, because we also have many Polish or Turkish immigrants, who learn Turkish/Polish, German, English and Spanish/French/Latin...

Non-UK Europeans are basically forced to learn other languages because their own native languages are so fucking redundant and useless. Hey, woah! Don't call me nationalist, cause I'm everything but that! I just wanted to point out that 2 languages are not "special". I didn't want to be an asshole.

I like English very much, just like I love learning Spanish. I'm not forced to do so, we have 3 different types of "high schools" in Germany and only on the type I am I have to learn 2 languages, that means I'm not forced to do so. And I'm also not forced to learn Finnish and study Latin.
