Where she ranks among all of the female artists active today is up for debate, but she clearly has an enormous talent that goes beyond just the music. She is an experimental artist, kind of defining the very concept of "art' in new ways. Not all of it is commercially successful, but I don't get the impression that she gives a rat's. She seems to be doing what she wants to do and is just lucky enough to make some money at it.
