the vocalist from pink floyd pretended she was an instrument, therefore eliminating the "yeah's" that a vocalist would usually use. it gives a greater effect by not using words vocalists use, but making sounds an instrument would usually create. if you can pull that off, BAM you are frekin fantastic!

I am so proud to say, I worked with this lady back in the early 80's on numerous occasions. She was an amazing talent then and still one of the best singers in Adelaide. Oh yes I was just 20 years old...and she was 16 ish when I first met her and her band. Looking and sounding great Diane !!

After hearing you singing (Diane Dixon), I went back to the bench analysing that song (original Great gig), 'cos it has been a long time I played it on guitar. I think you are the only singer (to date) who has the voice (tone), power (strength), and experience to sing this right. The trick I had a hard time with back then was Torry's tremolo style, which makes a huge difference; she doesn't trigger tremolo on the initial note but on the ending ones to a segment. I'm sure its worth trying it!
This singer (Diane Dixon) is able to reach and nail the RIGHT NOTES to the original song! She needs to ask a musician for writing them down on a note sheet (piano), then she'll hit 'em all! When she does, please, let me know...
