In Islam whatever you claim, you have to prove it with authentic source, that comes from Allah and His Messenger (SAWS), it only said that the earth does not eat the body of messengers. It doesn't mean we can say YA Rasool Allah. We have to look at facts and follow Islam in true way not by listening to anyone make up his own mind. If something is ambiguous, we must avoid rather than following blindly, because thats the way of Yahood and Nasara and we may fall in the trap of Satan.
@benotignorant1 Well i didn't say that, but this is very sensitive issue, we have to avoid things which are ambiguous in religion, because when i hear many people saying ya Rasool Allah, i find them in great misunderstanding, which does not adhere to fundamental teachings of Islam. Its a bidah and every bidah is misguidance and every misguidance is in fire....... full stop.
@benotignorant1 Well there are two places which are only permissible to say Ya Rasool Allah in all aspects of Islam and i am not a scholar to give my Expert opinion on it. These two places are (In Azan-Ashad Anna Muhammad ur Rasool Allah) and in tashahud (Asalam alaika ayunhan nabiyu) and no where else its permissible, thats what many scholars say. I am just a student.
The holy Prophet(Sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said "The devil continually pursues humans as a wolf pursues sheep. The wolf only dares to attack those sheep which have separated from the rest of the flock and are standing alone. And so, my followers and my devotees! Save yourselves from being caught in the traps of misguidance and firmly remain with the largest and most well known group of Muslims!" [ Imam Ahmed]
Conclusion is Allah is the knower of all intensions and if someone does shirk he is aware...what the problem is , is when someone says ya rasoolallah , another starts shouting shirk! Shirk! Yet Allah is knower of the ghaib...the one shouting shirk is claiming he has ilm e ghaib which he himself says prophet Muhammad saws did not have! Strange....you will judged on actions with intentions first . So stop trying to find faults in each other..and let the best of judges do the judging!
Marufsadi its not allowed to call in dua ? Well its ok to do in in salah which is a state when the person praying is in direct communication with Allah swt....and than in tashaud you can say ayuhan nabiyio....that's ok surely that would be shirk in your eyes...if you had the authority I'm surprised that people who do takfeer haven't tried to remove these words from salah...clearly you haven't heard the shaykh but only perceive your own understanding...
It is not permissible to call on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in du’aa’ after his death, because du’aa’ is an act of worship that can only be directed to Allaah. Allaah says ()
“And the mosques are for Allaah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allaah”
al-Jinn 72:13
“And who is more astray than one who calls on (invokes) besides Allaah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, and who are (even) unaware of their calls to them?
@kadafi150 And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him): “If you ask, then ask of Allaah, and if you seek help then seek help from Allaah.”
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2516) and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Sunan al-Tirmidhi.
@kadafi150 Du’aa’ is asking for benefit and asking for harm to be warded off, and it is not only done by saying Yaa (O…), rather it has become customary among people to use this call in du’aa’, especially when hardship comes and calamity strikes, so they say Ya Allaah, meaning O Allaah, save us, give us help, support us.
This is the action of monotheists (believers in Tawheed) who do not call upon anyone other than Allaah.
@kadafi150 Thus it is known that if a person says Ya Muhammad or Ya Rasool Allaah, not intending thereby to call upon him and seek his help, then there is nothing wrong with it, such as if he wants to call him to mind and remember him, such as if he reads a hadeeth and says Sall-Allaah ‘alayka ya Rasol-AllaaH(May Allaah send blessings upon you, O Messenger of Allaah) or How great and beautiful are your words,O Messenger of Allaah. But saying Ya Muhammad is contrary to good manners, as said above
@kadafi150 the koran says: those who die in the way of Allah SWT, nay they are alive and your DONT percieve".. so we dont dont doubt the prophet PBUHF died for the cause of Allah SWT. so he is alive in a way we cant comprehend.. ill give you an extreme example.. do you know that Iblis is alive.?? yes he is, but we cant see him.. yet you believe in that right? so the Prophet is protected in another way/method/dimension, and the koran says believers trust in the "unseen".!
its laughable how people start making fatwas! the man in this video, may Allah preserve him, has studed islam all is life and has been reconised for his knowledge of the deen, he has made it absolutely clear the position of saying ya rusoolallah, yet we got people who cant even pray salat properly that disagree with him? its a sad state to be in
Believers, obey Allah, obey the Messenger and those leaders from among you. If you should disagree about anything refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day. This will in the end be better and more suitable.
yes the Prophets are alived in their graves, all salafi scholars agree to that. What disallowed according to Allah and his Messenger is to call upon him, i.e. making Du'a TO HIM, for Allah ordered us in the Qur'an to make du'a to him ONLY and not to call upon others. As SENDING prayers UPON him from every part of the world, then yes this is permitted since the angels deliver our prayer ON him (i.e. we are not asking him for anything like christians do with their saints).
@Mayharakbar, do you realise that you just said that the 4 khulafa made shirk? Astaghfarallah! What about people who were in battle in the time of the prophet saws without him participating? Didnt they do salaat with ayyuhan when the prophet was not present? What is the difference with not being present and a person who left this world? Please tell me
@MahyarAkbar, your comment shows that ur total unaware. The hadith of ibn masood ra was his ijtihaad, but the 4 khulafaa kept saying Ayyuhan Nabi. And the 4 Khulafa are superior in knowledge. This is also explained in the salafi site islamqa.com . So please get your facts straight before you mislead people.
Good explanation those who say saying "YA RASOOLALLAH" is shirk bc you are associating with Allah ...But doesn't Allah look upon the intention of a person first ..if Allah(swt) look at your intention first he knows all ..Allah knows who you are associating with him I have always said "YA RASOOLALLAH" as a sign of respect to the beloved prophet of Allah(swt) and will continue to do so.
@Nurcreation : This is not a god explantion about the about the word ( YA RASOOLALLAH) if any one say YA RASOOLALLAH its not a shrik, in simple words you translate your kalima , if we say the word YA RASOOLALLAH is a shrik then evey muslim in this world starting shrik in his child hood so 1st try to read about fiqa and shirk then post a comment about YA RASOOLALLAH , Because our Loving Prophet MUHAMMAD (PBUH) is still living between us
Actually ibn mas'ood in saheeh bukhari said we changed it from ayyuhan nabiyu to "ON the prophet"
So ma'sood refuted you on that....
And saying Ya rasoolullah (Saws) when your not near the qabr is definitly making the prophet PBUH in to a God.. NOT GOD HIMSELF, but your giving him a quality of God... (Hearing multiple people at once/seeing them)

@ayatullah100b So when we say "Peace be upon you O Prophet" in the prayer is that shirk.

@ByChoiceMuslim No its not. But it does not mean you are calling on to Rasool Allah.
ayatullah100b 3 weeks ago
@ayatullah100b Where do you make this stuff up?
"Ya" in Arabic is an invoking particle,so yes you are calling upon rasulallah, but it isn't ibadah.
Like I call to you "ya ayatullah salam alayk" im not worshiping you.

@ayatullah100b This isn't true, you can give the salam to the prophet directly out of salah as recorded by many ahadith.
salam alaik ya rasulallah anywhere and anytime is allowed.

1, Our Beloved Prophet sallAllahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam is living but is veiled from our unrighteous eyes.
2, Allah ta'ala knows the intention, even if it is not uttered aloud.
Conclusion- Ya Rasul Allah is perfectly acceptable based on appropriate intention
