thank you, also when doing weight lifiting exercises should they be done before or after interval training...or should they not be done in the same exercise period?
I do intervals on the treadmill (1 minute hard, 2 minutes easy (but after watching your video I'll decrease easy to 90 seconds)), I am also going to try your plyo type workouts into my routine and let you know the results after 6 weeks. I am looking to lose the last 28 to 38 lbs and I'm sure this is going to help big time!! Thank you.
That's not necessarily true. I am currently a 214lb my height 5' 6" and I can do intervals of 30sec 6mile per hour on the treadmill. I can understand if you haven't been working in years that you can't do high pace intervals but someone just starting out could do intervals of 10sec fast walking or really slow jogging and 30sec rest on the treadmill but that's if you really want to do intervals. Regardless they still work! :O)
You may also discover that, as you increase the intensity of your "hard" intervals, your tolerance of (relatively) higher intensity "light" intervals increases. That is to say, as you become used to higher intensity hard intervals, your lower intensity "cruising speed" may actually creep up on you, as your general fitness level increases. Interval training is a great way to increase endurance.

But for people that are over weight theycan't keep it up like that...If you were athletic that's another story.
i reccommend to walk until you catch your breath for about 3 to 4 minute if you are not athletic.
