  • could you make better quality video? can not hear a shit! Hope your dvds you selling is better quality...

  • hey its Casey Anthony

  • Thanks for these, very useful indeed!

  • I acually did what he said and it worked! :D

  • i fell asleep for an hour :(

  • Nice job. Thank for sharing it.

  • that girl is chesty :D

  • that was nothing compared to this one time, i couldnt feel my legs arms or anything.. but i wasnt asleep, it was really weird, but like it was from and ipod touch app soo ya haha

  • you went directly to mental relaxation, without the eye catalepsy ... interesting

  • all hypnosis is Self hypnosis, need not spend any $

  • @are360 You can't give yourself suggestions or directions though, as that activates the conscious mind

  • I highly recommend this guy's videos. Well worth the price.

  • yes i did it tnx for this video sir. you are the only one who explain it to that i understand tq sir.

  • Richard,

Very nice video thanks for sharing.

Without kowing much about the subject because it's a sample video, but this method of induction seems very similar to the "Auto Dual Induction" in which message units and confusion are created and the subject simply wants to escape into induction.

@ JKHypno, reular clients allow themselves to go quicker because they are already conditioned. Always use full induction with first tme clients to get as deep as possible.

    Nice Vid...

  • @hypnosisCHt Me parece un gran hipnotizador, pero no se tanto ingles como para entenderlo todo..hay subtitulados? los que se venden??gracias

  • Driving down the highway and all of a sudden you realize you're at your destination and not quite sure how you got there .... that's what this guy does to me, puts me in a total trance. What an unusual voice ...

  • I've bought a few of Richard Nongard's videos. He's a great Hypnotist.

  • Thank-you!

  • Richard is a great hypnoist. I like his style though agree that the use of the word 'sleep' can be confusing and doesnt usually add much to a hypnotherapy session. I explain 'sleep' breifly prior to the induction and in more general terms in the pre talk. my video shows the word 'sleep' being used but one can also imagine any other term being substituted.

  • MILF! xD

  • woah that was an awesome demonstration of hypnosis, i am ging to get it done professionaly now!

  • this guy is great, he sounds a little bit like Kermit the frog though haha :P strangely relaxing voice though

  • i feel trippy! i was following what the lady was doing too!

  • MILF =)

  • MILF!

  • That's not the Elman induction!!!!!!!! It's only half of it... also, you're not supposed to say the word "numbers" or it brings it back in your mind... but very interesting approach!

  • That was a 3 minute demonstration (if you exclude the preamble and recap at the end). " you're not supposed to say 'numbers' or it brings it back in your mind" ? Did you read that in Dave Elmans book, or from someone else 'teaching' Dave Elman inductions? I use almost the same induction as Richard has demonstrated and it works with my clients. Pretty much ANY inductionworks if you deliver it with enough conviction.

  • Well, I read tons of books regarding hypnosis NLP, psychology, and learned that in general semantics is a very important factor in hypnosis. The meaning of the words sometimes is crucial to the success of a session. There are some "painted" words that would be best if you don't use in your sessions. When i said you're not supposed to say the word numbers that doesn't mean it's the absolut truth. I have no doubt it works with most of the people out there today.

  • But if you bump into one analytical subject then you should be able to know how to handle this. It's important to train yourself in using words correctly. Even if ordinary language works well...

  • Also if you know the Elman induction you should know that's not the full induction, just the second part of it... what about the first part of the induction??

  • I guess that's the problem with demo's. Yes, of course, he's missed out the eye fixation, eye catalepsy, hand drop etc. but his subject for the demo had been hypnotised by him before, on several occasions and with 'regular clients' I find that they take hardly any time to drop deep down. Maybe that's why he skipped the first parts (just my guess though). With a new 'first time' client I use the full induction. I also think that 70% of the success in inducing a trance is down to the pre-talk.

  • omg, i got hypnotized as well

  • serious? i need to know !

  • Not every trance involves falling over after the hypnotist shouts sleep. When you go into a drivers trance you don't collapse or the consequences would be catastrophic. Great demo and for those who are skeptical I suggest becoming aware or conversational trances.

  • she looked like she wasnt very relaxed though... somewhat staged, or is that the aim? JUST a demo, not reli real?

  • what happens if you get into the negative numbers and it still isn't working? is that possible?

  • -2,345...-2,346...im getten there ill be hypnotized i can feel it!

  • That was a very modified Dave Elman induction. There is usually eye catelepsy, fractionation and a physical relaxation test (arm drop) before the mental relaxation is achieved through the counting. However, if you have worked with someone many times, they already know how to access trance and therefore many different things will work. - AL

  • it seems like this would be a good self induction method, can it be used for that? if so are there modifications to adapt it for self?

  • you can try, but it will not work. but maybe if you put it on tape, just try

  • ??? you started off with the number count? I usually do that after the arm drop.

  • I'm curious, it seems to me that the trick to this is that your monologue overrides her counting monologue. While she's counting your talking is pacing and distracting her and eventually your words make her lose count and since you had previously said that forgetting the numbers was the cue, is that why the trance is induced?

  • Hello: This kind of induction is very useful for us physicians. In a few words, we have to relax the body and the mind, we do not try to distract her, only to guide to the point of "forget" numbers,i.e. cause an "amnesia" in that instant we have hypnosis. This demo is not the complete process. For a complete description and explanation try to get the book "Hypnotherapy" by Dave Elman- Westwood publishing co. Dr David

  • *smiles* I based my induction of the Elman induction, but I've tweaked and personalised it a bit.

  • Yes Most people do and in a way you have to depending on whom you are hypnotizing.

  • weird...i got to 77 before i realized he was done

  • i have a good success rate with smoking, its one of the easiest session to do in my opinion.

  • I closed my eyes during this while you were putting the patient under and actually began getting very, very relaxed, but I was still aware of what was going on and couldn't go any further. My husband and I have an appt with a hyponotherapist tomorrow morning, and I'm wondering if he'll be able to put me under. We're going to him in order to quit smoking. Do you know what the success rate is with something like this?

  • Well, during Hypnosis the point is you are aware of what is happening, you are still fully conscious. It's an altered state of consciousness, but it's still consciousness.

Still, people can't always remember exactly what happens during hypnosis (just the general 'jist' of what was said) and often have very poor judgement of the time passed.

  • I tried this but just have a very hard time "letting go" of the numbers. Well, I suppose it won't work for everyone, after all.

  • This is the Elman induction without the beginning. This number-dumping is what Elman did to establish selective thinking, but the Elman induction itself starts with eyelid catalepsy.

  • one question i have for you is this. Are you against the sleep command because I have never seen you use it in any one of your demos.

  • No "against" it, just rarely use it. I want to be clear with clients, and the sleep command requires I explain sleep in hypnosis is not nighttime sleep. My theory, why add one more item to the pre-talk when other words (like hypnosis and trance) are clearer in meaning. But either way is fine,

  • @ClinicalHypnosis Great point; I never thought of that.

  • I wanted to comment but I fell asleep on my keyboard. That dude is good!
