  • The crowd wasn't there to see Obama. It was for a concert idiot. By the way, your president sucks.

  • Obama has spent more in 100 days than Bush in 8 years, The PATRIOT Act still stands, NAFTA has not been reformed, Troops will be in Iraq til 2011 just as Bush stated, the White House still conceals info. that may disparage, Guantanamo is still open (and Obama only plans to move it to Ft. Leavenworth, KS) Obama supports rendition, Military commissions are being reinstituted, OBAMA LIED. His policies are all but identical to Bush's.

  • sorry cannot listen to you without laughing. do you talk that way on purpouse? ayrak?

  • He needs to stop playing the race card-NOBAMA 08

  • Apparently, Obama is not anti-war. He wants to continue it under the sneaky guise of "fighting terrorism" and "spreading democracy."

  • Yes, I agree. Obama simply wants to rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic. Let's pull out of Iraq so we can go into Pakistan or Iran. That's not the sort of change I want to believe in. However, it's undeniable that he is at least paying lip service to change and people are flocking to him because of it.

  • When did he say that?

  • Yeah, I am getting sick of people calling him anti-war too. To be fair he isn't as much of a war-monger as the neo-cons but in no way does he want to stop being 'team america: world police'.

  • Right on SA for telling it the way it is.

    Obama greatness can't be denied.

  • eye rack?

  • i feel like i am listening to robot talking

  • The Southern Avenger as Max Headroom. That's a funny image. :-)

  • antichrist anyone?

  • I think this guy totally oversimplified the situation but still he is right (but he misses the bonus points for going in depth). Obama is well liked as well because of his charisma as well, but that is compounded with his Kenyan father, his humble past, his idealistic growth, and perhaps most importantly - his respect for foreign nations.

  • humble past???

    hahahahahahaha

    dude went to school overseas.

if thats what you call humble you can just call me dirt-floor

  • "his idealistic growth"

wtf are you babbling about, you incoherent imbecile?

obama is an empty suit and a puppet. if you look closely you can see the strings.

  • I didn't really care for Obama's Berlin speech. I saw clips of it, and he sounded a lot like Bush in some parts. What amazes me is that he was against a surge in Iraq and even today says it's failing (even though even I would agree that all reports seem to indicate it's working), but he says we should embrace a surge in Afghanistan. WHAT?!

    a) that's hypocritical and b) if a surge in Iraq shouldn't work, acording to Obama, why would a surge in Afghanistan work?

  • It amazes me how much people think they know and yet know squat. EVERYTHING you have said is false. Obama was the only one who wouldn't of invaded Iraq in the first place. The only one who was right. He acknowledges that the surge did work because now he believes you can move troops out to go to Afghanistan. Get the freaking facts you dumbass moron. I am not for Obama btw by ignorance like yours should be pointed out.

  • If by "the only one" you mean the only one out of two people. The other person being McCain. Also, we really don't know if he was against it in the first place. He wasn't in Congress when the war started. Anyone know of his opinion in 2002? Or do we only have him from 2004 onward when he could easily lie about his opinion?

Given Obama's cowardice, I'd bet he would've voted for the war. In fact, I guarantee you he would have. You can tell any lie you want when you don't face the music.

  • There are videos on youtube of Obama speaking out against the war in Chicago before it started.

  • That's why he has continually voted to fund the war he supposedly does not agree with. Yeah, he's a real man of principle. Oh yeah he's for civil liberties, too, which explains why he voted for the Patriot Act and more government surveillance power. The only one who wouldn't have invaded? Ron Paul voted against it, and always voted against funding it more, too. Get the freaking facts right, as you would say.

  • Sorry, I didn't like leaving on that enraged note.

    ChuckBarr08!!!

  • Speaking as an Englishman and Ron Paul supporter who sees Gordon Brown as a complete twat, The only compliment I can offer Obama is that he's slightly less vile than McCain.

And while I see the point you're making, I find it really depressing that the masses can still be conned with such ease. They give us a cart load of crap and the wheelbarrow load somehow seems like a gift from God.

Also- If I hear another Kennedy comparison, I think I might stab someone in the face.

  • "If I hear another Kennedy comparison, I think I might stab someone in the face."

ROFL - i know the feeling.

  • I don't get the Kennedy comparison. Obama's not an alcoholic.

    j/k... I think. :-)

  • Spot on...of course, the chink in his armor methinks is the Lobby. That's the REAL test of his anti-Bushness. If he gets elected has to be able to resist its pressure to go into Iran.

A majority of Israelis want a peacful solution, but their government refuses to tone down the rhetoric, and the neocons in AIPAC have no problem with this. If Israel attacks, Obama (and the nation) will be at a pivotal crossroads not seen in recent American history.

  • I received an email from my father that included a link to the Republican party website where they were doing a sensing about which direction the people wanted to take the party. In true Republicrat form they loaded the questions along lines they wanted and not what the people wanted. I want the Government to obey the Constitution. Was that even addressed on the site? Not at all. Never vote Republican. Never vote Democrat. All you will get is more of the same and less of your rights.

  • bush messianic qualities?

that requires more than a 30% approval rating. with those who do approve believing that he is 100% right.

the messianic quality is popularity, something which Bush doesn't have.

  • Just because a Messiah is unpopular does not make the fervor of his few followers any less idiotic.

The Messianic quality is not popularity, it is the level of devotion of his followers. David Koresh, Jim Jones, Warren Jeffs, and Charles Manson all had/have 'Messianic' qualities because of the single-minded devotion their followers gave/give them.

  • All that may be true, but I am still not going to vote for Obama.

  • Though Europe and the rest of the world is blind to it, I truly hope Americans know there are few differences between Bush, McCain, and Obama. Continuation of the Republicrats will last only so long. Whether it's Communism or Fascism, the people's Constitution and its Republic have no place in today's American politics thanks to the two major candidates in this election, sadly.

  • Obama isn't particularly antiwar though. He's just anti-iraq war. This is another way the two parties can appear different, it's not "war is bad" it's "this war is bad"... how soon before obama moves iraq troops into pakistan? Same old same old. Ron Paul... now there's a real hero

  • Obama is popular outside of the US because he isn't Bush, simple as, Hillary Clinton would have this kind of warm welcome too.

  • You mean Hillary 'We should nuke Iran' Clinton?

  • did hillary clinton really say that the US should nuke iran? lol

  • Oh God, I pray that our Republican friends see the light and listen to Dr. Paul, and OBEY THE CONSTITUTION.

  • The Iraq war was a mistake? No, it was a crime intentionally perpetrated for the purpose of murder and money.

  • Murder is just a means for the purpose, not a purpose. Now, if you insist on using a second word to use for purposes, might I suggest power. New World Order isn't just a catchphrase.

  • I meant murder. Bush had a personal grudge with Saddam for some perceived (or not) assassination attempt on his father. There's probably something else under the table that we don't know about but in the end I did mean murder for this reason. The Power control thing won't come from taking Iraq but it's a start in pacifying the middle east.

  • I don't buy into that thesis. It's more to do with continuing where his father left off than a grudge. I'm sure Dubya would have done what he did if the assassination attempt didn't happen.

Though having disagreements in how Bush is evil is an avenue I'm surprised would ever be ventured. LOL

  • Indeed it is a strange twist. Bottom line.. he's a cunt and I think we all agree on that. =]

  • N-E-O-C-O-N-S = Compassionate Fascist

  • Considering Obama's vote on wiretapping, I'm inclined to agree. Obama is a pushover and will do anything to keep his image healthy. This isn't to say that Obama will not get us out of Iraq, but for one to say that he will vastly underestimates how much of a coward Obama is.

  • Coward?

    His whole campaign is courageous.

Of all the candidates that ran for president this year, he would be the most likely to be assassinated.

Just because of the color of his skin.

None of us agree with him 100% of the time.

That could never happen with anyone.

The fact is, he's smarter than you and I.

It's about time we have that in a president.

I believe his intentions are good and he will get us moving toward what this country's ideals are.

I can't say the same for McCain.

  • Your ignorance astounds me. Not one thing he has done has been courageous. What he has been doing has been the exact opposite. Thus, a coward.

As for the smarter point, it doesn't take a genius to manipulate the simpleton masses. His intellect is only an illusion.

  • Well, I am willing to bet that he isn't smarter than I. I don't agree with him on nearly everything he stands for. I do agree that we shouldn't have gone to Iraq, but he voted to fund it. I guess he wants his cake and eat it too.

  • why is being a pushover a bad thing. consider bush, who is quite the opposite of a pushover, in fact he's rather stubborn.

the president needs to heed to the people, not the other way around.

  • Don't confuse "pushover" with "open-minded". One can be equally evil in being a pushover as one is evil by being stubborn. Just like heeding to the people can be as evil as the opposite.

  • how can being a pushover be equally evil than?

  • Look at it like this. The evil side of stubborn is staying the course when that course leads to disaster. Being a pushover is allowing others to dictate what you should say and do. Obama has let others tell him what preacher he should listen to, how to vote on bills... He's doing the opposite of what he's preaching. Just like any ordinary politician would.

Even if Obama wasn't a pushover, I still wouldn't vote for him because he represents so much of what is wrong with America.

  • What?

  • Obama the anti-Bush? One more piece like this you will loser a subscriber. Obama=McBush!

  • Obama is percieved as the anti-Bush is Europe - that's why he's so popular.

Whether that's true or not is an entirely different manner.

    Jack

  • Right on the button with this video.

  • Great commentary Jack. You should do one on the PNAC group.

  • Good stuff as always. I still think you should run for Public Office SA. If I was down there, I'd vote for ya.

  • Hopefully Obama will overcome all that just like the anti catholic sentiment brought against JFK.

  • Good job
