  • OMG, this was the #1 song when I was born..... I was hoping it was something that I knew & that was very good that I liked. (I am glad this video poped up when I looked into what was the #1 song at the time I was born) :-) Interesting Song LOL!!!!!! I am glad I heard it just now.

  • I hate to say it, but, I clearly remember begging my mom into buying this record for me - I was 9 years old and thought he was the coolest dude in California!! It was a much simpler time in 1977... LOL!!!

  • "Greatest Hits?" Really? Hoo boy . . .

  • I love this song;)

  • it's about how you can ruin a great song...

  • Hate to say it but this is a much better version. More hip. I know somebody named Jill maybe i should approach her singing this to get her to no me better. Does that sound corny?

  • @TheRichboy44 Yes-corny-but it would be adorable at the same time!! :-)

  • @laurakamaras Thanks for replying. I may have to give it a shot i'm tired of being alone. thanks again.

  • @TheRichboy44 You're welcome!! And look at it this way-even if she's not interested that way-you may end up with a really great friend!! Good luck-and let us know how it works!! :-)

  • This is embarrassing... I heard this in a store yesterday and I asked my friend "a new version of an old song"? LOL

  • This is a trip.... from 1977. Still have the album! Great remake, though I still prefer the original, this was Number One during my lifetime, and triggers pretty strong memories.

  • Happy B'day Shaun Cassidy <3

  • The Crystal's version is way better and got soul.

  • Shaun hit #1 in Billboard, 7-16-77. God bless ya, Valerie, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • @DaveWollenberg That was my 21st b'day!!!!! What memories.

  • i shoock his hand he was in my house

  • good singer and a great actor on the hardy boys!

  • this is pretty good. I feel like he carrie on Rock' original message: just to have a good time.

  • I think Phil Spector had somthing to do with this version of the Doo Ron Ron Song

  • This was the first 45 i ever bought when i was 8 years old. I also thought it was about Jill Monroe of Charlie's angels, a show i was obsessed with. I got the whole album for Christmas that year, but threw it out when i was a 80's metal head teenager out of fear that my friends would see me with an album from a singer geared toward 11 year-old girls.

  • Great song :) 2 dislikes?!

  • FORGET JB IT SHOULD BE SHAUN CASSIDY FEVER!

  • I LOVE IT! and TY so much for not cutting the end note short!!!!

  • This was the justin bieber of the 70"s!

  • This cover was completely unnecessary. The Crystals owned this song!

  • @MerlinParish who's the Crystals ?? Never heard of them. Didn't know anybody but Shaun ever sung it ! LOL

  • @hstansberry The Crystals recorded it first in 1963 with Phil Spector.

  • im 18 and this is my jam! i walk threw school dancing to this.. people think im weird but i dont care DA DOO RON RON!!!!

  • oh 1970! How I long for my tiger beat magazine!!!

  • When the remake was out, the Jill I thought of, was, of course, Jill Munroe, of 'Charlie's angels.' Billboard's 470th #1 hit of the rock era. God bless! Hugs to you, for postin' it. BTW, I'm NOT gay!

  • @DaveWollenberg Haha! I thought it was Jill Munroe, too!

  • @karalynnemerson I know, right? God bless ya, have a great weekend.

  • People, please!!! i am a child of the 70's so I grew up listening to this music----Today's 'teen' pop singers are SOOOOO overrated...in the 70's, computers didn't CHANGE the actual voices into a synth sound. This is why, Justin beiber and others will NEVER be such stars!!!

  • @kca365 psh, you WISH bieber was better! even as an old guy shaun cassidy is better than him!!! shaun cassidy sounds like a dude, not a girl... lol!!!!!!!!!!! :P

  • @daisyfl0werl0ve haha dont have to wish, he already is better and justin doesnt sound like a girl(;

  • @kca365

Dude...you need a brain check-up. There's something seriously wrong with you.

  • @ReadingWeirdo nope. my brains perfect. my heart isnt <3 oh how i love justindrewbieber<3

  • I didn't have a huge, mega-crush on him, but I liked him enough to have his poster on my wall :) I also liked his songs, and watching him on "The Hardy Boys."

  • Gosh I never will get over these great songs...I love hearing Shaun Cassidy, as Joe Hardy sing these on The Hardy Boys

  • He was the justin beiber of his generation !!

  • Shaun Cassidy was my first crush way back in the 70s. Today's "heartthrobs" don't have a patch on Shaun Cassidy.

  • He says her name is jill n my name JILLian;)

  • First time listening to this one, and it's already a favourite of mine. No, it's not just because I found out my name is in this song, I just really like 70's music. :D Morning Girl is the one I listen to the most by Shaun, and I can't count how many of David's songs I've listened to over my eighteen years but 70's music will always be the best! Besides Celtic music.

  • <3

  • Love him!!!!! I watched him on Oprah too!

  • Billboard's #45 song of '77. Shaun hit #1 pop, #33 AC, in Billboard. God bless!

  • Forget Justin Beiber!!!! Shaun Cassidy is the way to go!!!!!!!

  • @Speechie12345 AMEN To THAT> :)

  • just watched him on oprah. new generation of fans? i think so!

  • @musicfreak3152 i'm watching him on Oprah too! i'm just playing this song to watch my mom freak out XD

  • @FoolishTriplets OMG!!! Me three! <3 and I'm 17! But I like the past music more than now-a-days!!!

  • @Tifftrinity LOLOL SAME!!!

  • @Tifftrinity hells yes, sister.

    hear hear.

  • @Tifftrinity Tiff, you've got great taste in music. Keep the '70s music alive, everybody! God bless!

  • @musicfreak3152 Same here! And I totally agree!!:)

  • @musicfreak3152 Because it's not as if Oprah's entire fan base is middle aged stay at home moms..

  • @musicfreak3152

I watch Oprah now!! and he is in shooooow!!!

    big kiss form Croatia!!!:)))

  • Shaun Cassidy ist Toll! :D <3 Ich leibe der Junge!!

  • My idol when i was 15 hehehe

  • not my thing. I'll move on.

  • I agree with Phondros. Definitely for Shaun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick Springfield, too!!!

  • Hit #1 pop, #33 AC in Billboard. God bless!

  • Already forgot there's such a song called DaDooRonRon... someone else sang this several years later?

  • @JasonECI Original version was cut by The Crystals in 1963. There's been many others that covered it, you might be thinking of an all-girl group called The Donnas that covered it in 1996.
