The best part about all of this; the character, the game, this video, and these comments are...well...I'm FROM Salmon Arm. Yes, it's a real town, and yes, it is a little more on the hick side of things. Not THAT hick, but around the same line. One of the programmers is from there, so he was lucky and got to put our little lake/mountain town on the map. =D

Punch Out's about humourous stereotypes -- I'm Canadian too... and they seem to have confused "Canadian" with "Pirate"!

The tuke for Champion Defence was a nice touch though. Bear Hugger went from 'nasty kinda backwoods hick' in previous Punch Outs to 'only sorta nasty hick who'd be fun to hang out with'.
