@TheMadStork83 Yes, but New England is much further east than Pittsburgh. However, your line of criticism is essentially correct: Miami, Baltimore, and Indianapolis are all in the wrong division from a geographical perspective. The Dolphins should be in the AFC South, the Ravens should be in the AFC East (which should basically be a northeast division), and the Colts should be in the AFC North (an upper-midwest division).
@flames24lightning Yeah, we're getting there. We're beginning 1987 right now. With all of the requests, I'll probably get to them quicker in the regular rotation, but I'll put 'em in the queue just in case. Thanks for watching!
@TheMadStork83 That's got nothing to do with it. The Saints and Falcons were always in the West from the merger in 1970 until the realignment in 2002. The only reason the Cardinals stayed in the East was because they had been in St. Louis beforehand.
@fatmanfiftythousand You can't even begin to deny that even when the Cards were in St. Louis that having them play in the Eastern Division made ANY sense, especially since they're located in the central/western part of our country AND the fact as you just mentioned, that the Saints and Falcons were in the west and they played closer to the atlantic ocean then the Cards regardless of where they called home. Even today' alignment is a little screwy, but no one makes a fuss about it.
@TheMadStork83 It made SOME geographic sense, though, to have the Cardinals in the East as long as they were still in St. Louis. It's still the eastern half of the United States.
The alignment now is only screwy because Dallas is still in the East while Indianapolis (as northern as can be) is in the South.

Why are New Orleans and Atlanta in the West division?
LimeZYX 3 months ago
@LimeZYX The same reason why Arizona was in the East division.
TheMadStork83 3 months ago
@TheMadStork83 All that changed in 2002. Atlanta and New Orleans went South, and Arizona went west

@LogoAttitude Really? wow, I think I missed that.
