Hi. I want to know...is a puff pony tail a protective style? Because I've been wearing it lately because I really am starting to like it but I was wondering if it's an actual protective style because I wanna wear it more often.

I have been natural about three years and have been wearing wigs and weaves and finally wearing my hair out. I love that it is soo full and natural but totally at a loss for styling options.  I have tried a puff and when I use the ribbon and stocking they slide off, what can I do to avoid this problem. I really want this cute style.

Thinner edges run in my family so none of use really have to use anything for them to lay down; they just lay down automatically...

I think you should still try it even if you're not natural. Your puff probably wouldn't turn out as big, but it might make a cute bun...
