Do you or anyone know where I can find Game 6 of this series? It was broadcasted last night and I wanted to tape it, but it ended up blacked out in my Chicagoland area.
@rusTITOrus If you admit skill wise it was better back then, then why is the game better overall today? I admit the players today are stronger and faster, but if the skills have eroded, which there is NO arguement that they have, then so what if they're stronger. Back then, every team had up to 4 guys on the floor who could hit a 15 foot jump shot. Some select teams had 5. Today, some teams have a few as 2. Its just a game of athletes now instead of bball players. And that makes the game worse
Great stuff - growing up in Chicago, we were always reminded how close the Bulls came to winning a championship. Van Lier was always around and a celebrity. Dick Motta also a great coach.
Check out our channel - we do breakdowns of Bulls games every week, plus all other NBA teams. BBALLBREAKDOWN - It's not a channel. It's a conversation.
Yeah Oscar Robertson as an analist? Is that what he is doing? I remember a buddy of mine asking me what do I think about the "Big O" as a commentator at the time. Didn't realize, as he did, back then how hilarious he sounds!
Al Attles took a page out of his former coach, Cal Irvin. Cal used bench system of using all 12 players to beat a starting 5 when he coached at North Carolina A&T.
Isn't it amazing how long it took the networks to figure out where to put the cameras so that the fans did not interfere with the image? Examples at 1:41 , 3:11 , and 5:29. At 7:14 , the entire screen is practically blacked out. Oh well, it doesn't distract from the greatness of this game. Poor Nate Thurmond. A year earlier he was with the Warriors, and as fate would have it, he was now with the Bulls. Motta decreased his minutes in the playoffs, and he does not even appear in this clip.

Proof that Josh Smith watched this clip concerning that Barry pass.

Oscar Robertson was without a doubt the worst commentator ever to sit in front of a microphone.

Thank you ginoonnnnnngkamote for posting more of this game! We need more '70s NBA (which is highly underrated) here.
You're a cool dude for posting these.
"Yes you are!" as Oscar Robertson (in his role as mid-'70s NBA On CBS commentator) would say.
