so he helps dante so doesnt get lsot in the tower ,

The best game to me of the entire franchise damn to bad it came out in the PS 2 era if it would have come out now with all the new graphics and for PS 3 this game would have been unstoppable and better than DMC 4 It would have given all this new games a run for they're money... I still think that Capcom should have left the Devil May Cry series exclusive to Play Station just like Halo is to Xbox.

i remember seeing this on tv for the first time and i actually nearly jizzed myself when I found out you can play as Vergil in this game, I went to get this game the day it came out and I'm proud to say that I practically am really good with Vergil's Yamato's Jump Cancelling and only have Vergil Must Die to SS rank. Now they are bringing the games back for PS3 soon! Thumbs up if you want this as part of the PS3 re-release of the DMC collections!

@kavkblnx sadly there's no 5. The game Ninja Theory is creating shouldn't even be called Devil May Cry, and if they are really making it a DMC it should at least be named Devil May Cry 0 (Zero)

@TheItalianGermanBoy In truth... I do agree... I do like playing as vergil... it is just because he is fast... I still like dante better... but only based on certain moves... This would do better if vergil were a playable character instead of dante in dmc4... but just wishful thinking...

i remember playing dmc 3. i was expecting vergil to become nelo angelo at the end and be the final boss. he was my favorite enemy on dmc 1

well nelo angelo is vergil but some people think that nero's arm is virgil reincarnated. I'm not sure since i honestly don't like DMC4 that much. It's the worst one IMO. This is the best games to the worst imo: DMC1, 3, 2, 4

@OwenJaffacake that is just a rumor... there is another rumor that nero is an illegitimate child of sparda... I have read all the mangas, read all the novels (both novels), watched the anime, played all the dmc games to date... I can understand why in the new dmc game that is coming out that dante gets the sickness... he had it in the first novel... read it to be proven... author is Shin-ya Goikeda... it shows who gave dante his twin hand guns... ebony and ivory... and that shotgun...

@Acendio I never got round to reading any of the novels, I watched one episode of the anime and thought that it was alright, but I think that Nero is most likely Vergil's son because he's got the same devil trigger as him, he was the only one who was able to awaken Yamatos power in DMC4 and he has some of the same taunts as Vergil.

@OwenJaffacake personally I don't think that vergil is his father... mainly because vergil did not get along well with "humans" just my opinion though... but I would recommend the novels though... the first novel I say is a mandatory read for any real fan of dmc
