This game was amazing even with the countless amount of flaws. The missions and the soundtracks were great, I just wish they would have spent more time perfecting it. I think Miami is an amazing setting, I didn't much care for the other cities though. The only thing that annoyed me was the fact the cars were so floaty. Driv3r set a really good example, sad to see that Driver PL wasn't as in depth.

@IBiteTheHandThatFed I dont think that mattered, when i was playing this everyday i would use my imagination and think of scenarios while in free roam and have fun, like pretended to be a hitman, or i would ride in a certain certain color car and choose a rival color so to speak and ride around until i saw them and snuff their ass out, i would even follow them until no pedestrians were around and kill them and blow the car up or park it somewhere, lol this game fucked me up!

@NorthwestBudz Oh yeah I know. I meant flaws as in graphics and the most random things causing you to crash. Believe me, I loved making up my own stuff. I just wished the graphics were a little better. It was a good game and all, but to me it looked sloppy and rushed.

I do admit that Driv3r is no way in par with Driver 1 and 2, but it did have some interesting things like the Timmy Vermicellis, more hidden cars. Plus, the music isn't that terrible. Not as memorable as Driver 1 and 2, but still okay altogether.

I have this game for PS2 is there any way i can extract all the files from it? Im faced with a huge archive file DRIVER3.IMG and everything I need is inside this file and I dont know how to open it. all the IMG extractors ive tried have all failed. I want the music the SFX and the movies the cutscenes.

I don't think they can be extracted. 7-Zip won't work either. Usually an image file or ISO has to be mounted. I think the PC version is different and would show video/audio files separately when installed.

well there has to be a way to open this file, Isomewhat found some tools for Driver3 but they are useless b/c its like you need a degree in computer programming to use them and they are useless. I found them on the Xentax site. someone out there has to have found a way or made a program that can open this file b/c its just sitting on my HD waiting to be extracted. unless one of the other files on the disc knows how to open the archive.

yeah look for .XA files. ive been poking around the net and the Xentax wiki page says that the audio files are .XA on the PC version so look for a folder or something full of those files and tell me what you find and if you do find those maybe there might be a way to stick a zip or RAR file of all of those up on rapidshare or some other filehosting site. just let me know what you find. and message me if you run into trouble.

I put the PS2 disk into my DVD drive on my PC and I could read the files on it but There is this very large archive file DRIVER3.IMG and I cannot open it. A few months ago a couple of kind folks send me links to all the SFX and music. I no longer have those links but they might still be in my youtube mail.

I always particularly loved the dark tone of the Miami music; thanks for posting this. The action music in Driv3r is impossible to find.

One thing though -- the selection of Miami music seems incomplete. A prime example is the action song that plays during one of the Miami "Getaway" minigames -- I had a recording of it on my hard drive, but have since lost the file :/

Use some audio cables and plugged them from the headphone socket in the tv to the audio on the computer. Then just record the sound through the computer speakers.
