If a guy played like this he'd be torn to shreds in the comments. How do I know? I am quite a bit better and I am still torn to shreds as a shitty guitarist.
i used to have a micro. i sold it to my nephew and got an RG350DX. u just cant go wront with an ibanez. but if ur looking for something light weight look into jackson guitars. i had a randy rhoads that felt like it weighed 2 pounds. the downside to that tho, is that there aint no tremelo.
thx for your reply. Will show my son your video and encourage him to practice a bit more but he needs lessons. In the mean time I bought one blue Makro for him and he likes to pretend he's Steve Vai playing "Building the church" with the tapping intro :D Cheers
@LPRory it is smaller, but mostly in the respect that the frets are closer together. The width across is actually the same as a full size (a slight bummer for me since I have some trouble curling my hand around the neck). Also this guitar is solid body so it's just as heavy as my full size.
@wahiawa32 That sounds good! Have you ever played a Gibson Les Paul or a Gibson Les Paul Vixen or a Gibson Les Paul Goddess or a Gibson B. B. King Lucille or a Gibson Midtown Custom or a Gibson SG or a Gibson SG Melody Maker or a Gibson Melody Maker(which is what I have)or a Gibson Wes Montgomery L-5(named for the late jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery)or a Fender Strat, Squier, or Telecaster or a Jackson electric guitar(I know you play an Ibanez as heard in this video)
yeah! your fingers look more natural than before, at this moment I think that you can play the leads of THIS song, that could be a big step for you :), the whole song sounded good, but you still need more expression, that's a matter of time and trust in yourself ;), anyway I liked it a lot, you are going by the right way, maybe a little slow (just like me hahaha) but I can see a progress here, congratulations :)
@pyoung4232 I do wish I could rock out more w/ my songs but everytime I do, I sacrifice precision lol. Plus this song I'd only been playing for a total of 2hrs... I was still trying to remember the fingering.
Good song, and you played it fairly well. From one guitar player to another, always keep on rockin' and look for challenges that interest you :). Good stuff washia :)
very nice

nice one ;) could you comment on the Ibanez Mikro? how good is it? My 8 yo son would like to start learning how to play. Thx
hgsbnt 1 year ago
@hgsbnt I'm pretty impressed w/ the Mikro. It plays better than my cheap, off brand full size.
Pros: pickups are great, fret size is smaller.
Cons: not super lightweight, is limited as far as tone adjustments go & no whammy bar.
For a beginner though, it's inexpensive & has great sound quality.

I'm trying to find a smaller guitar for our bands singer..she's 4''11.. do you think its a good enough fit for her?
Also is the neck as wide ( edge to edge, not length) as your average guitar neck? Or is it smaller?
Good job :P Sounds awsome.
