ah yes the old argument of whether or not Catholics are Christians. well i must say im pretty sure that believing that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born in to the human race and willingly suffered and died on the cross to forgive the sins of all humanity, past, present, and future, and rose from the dead makes you a Christian. last time i checked, thats exactly what the Catholic church teaches

@watchfulgreg what makes catholics catholics is that they have their own traditions and doctrines and they worship other peole like mary, the saints, death, etc... and they have a pope, i would know becus i was catholic before(:

@onixtheone If that is what you believe the Catholic church teaches, then it's no wonder you left. Catholics do not teach the worship of anybody except for God, our Father, as well as His Son. And we especially do not worship death. Mary and the saints are all deserving of our respect, and asking for them to pray for me, would be no different than me asking you to pray for me.

@onixtheone Our Pope (notice the singular) is not worshiped any more than the president is worshiped. As for the Sacrament of Confession, that is not actually limited to the clergy. James 5:16 says "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." And, as we see in Mark 1, when John was baptizing the people, they were confessing their sins to hm.
