The Comptroller General (appointed by the President) has power to audit only certain actions of the federal reserve. Ron Paul's bill asks for a full audit. The Federal Reserve unconstitutionally controls the borrowing of money. That power needs to go back to congress, where it belongs. The guy in the video is correct in saying that the federal reserve is a private entity. Do you think Federal Express is a US government entity, too?

@urparanoia Hi how are you? I believe it takes 60 votes in the senate to pass legislation. Yet they only had 59. So "they" declared it passed by simple majority (more than 50 votes) using a parliamentary procedure usually reserved for mundane protocols and procedures. I believe this is one issue some 20 states are suing about. Also, violation of the 10th amendment which the states believe their rights are being violated. And in passing, I'm sorry if my words 3 mos ago contain a lot of venom

@FFFFbody -Actually 60 votes is needed to prevent a fillibuster prior to the final bill but the final bill only needs a simple majority which is not a violation of the constitution. Nice to hear from you. Don't worry about prior conversations-they are in the past. My problem with comments is that people basically do what we see in this video - they can repeat headlines but have little understanding beyond that point.

The concessions made such as the loss of a single payer plan made the program a mere shell of what it could have been. Britain passed national healthcare after world war 2 and has never looked back. I know a guy in his sixties that the state is threatening to take his property for a measly five thousand dollars back tax they say he owes from ten years ago. His property is worth thirty seven thousand and he is retired and cant rent for what he would get by selling.

They also went there to protest state taxes like property tax. There still the heavy burden of social security tax as well. You are also not counting inflation and other sales tax like cigs. The 20 dollars every 2 weeks is nothing compare to the tax through inflation.

I believe the Federal Reserve only audit money amount not where the money went.
