I have a question though, I want to plant my 75g, but not heavily like yours, but just like a couple (2-4) amazon swords and maybe a little hair grass here and there and driftwood with java mass on it.
Could i ask you some question. How to keep your plants health without moss growing over the leaf? my tank about 40g and i have Co2 system with 156watts of light but i don't know why, all my leaf of plants had moss growing over the leaf . Your plants so nice and healhty, no moss growing on the leaf. Are you using any medical of plants to make the moss can't growing on the leaf? or the water cloud to make the moss growing on the leaf or the light too hight t? Please help me. Thanks
Actually This tank isn't running anymore and shortly after making this vid I removed the Tetras... I was going to replace them with larger hardier Congo Tetras but never got around to it. I've since gotten rid of all but one Firemouth.. The nicest :D
Ya C02 is a must in a tank this heavily planted. Infact it was a heavily planted tank for a year before I added the cichlids. I just sold all my plants, lights, and C02 and it's getting upgraded to a 180G tonight that will be lightly planted. No more big lights, C02, or fertilizer dosing :)
nice. 180 is huge. I have a fair amount of plants but I suppose I'll get a co2 system soon. The plants are living but are not exactly thriving in my tank. Nice firemouth by the way. I got one two weeks ago... they are really cool fish and it seems to get along with my jack... not so much the peackock
Wow you sure studied a lot on plants. You use special lighting right?
And now I can see why you can put non aggressive with highly aggressive fishes :) it is so densely planted in the tank, that the fishes won't really want to fight right?
@klumsyninja how do you put CO2 in a fish tank i want to make a 50g heavily planted like this one and also i am going to have firemouths and probably convicts could you explain to me in a pm how to make a tank this heavily planted and how to dose it with fertilizer or whatever?
also what plants are these because i hear firemouths like to pull the roots of the plants up.

@klumsyninja What happened to the tank

Very nice tank!
Quick question; do your firemouths ever attack your tetras?
I have a 29 gallon tank with cories, guppies, mollies, and tetras and I need to know if a firemouth would be compatible?

Do you have a CO2 system for your setup? I want to put more plants in mine but don't think I can without the CO2.
