I have an old vhs with clips from this MTV Headbanger's Ball Peaceville showcase from 1993. I believe there were 5 bands who played: Anathema, My Dying Bride, At the Gates as well as Chorus Of Ruin & Decomposed who opened but were not filmed by the MTV crew. I was a huge fan of doom-death in those days. Still am! I have the negatives from a photographer who shot 30+ still pics that night. Good stuff! Anyone have the interview with Hammy that aired on MTV same night? Never got to see that.

Hell yeah, I have a dusty old vhs tape somewhere in the basement of my parents house with that clip on it, it was a Peaceville Records showcase featured on MTV's headbangers ball. The other bands were At The Gates, the Beyond Good and Evil clip of it is somewhere here on youtube and My Dying Bride, dunno what song they played. Damn, one day you're 15 and listening to this stuff, then all of the sudden you are 30. How the hell did that happen?

Well, actually Darren nearly ruins this great song with his poor vocal skills ...

He has no stamina and he is singing constantly out of tune ...

I really don't unterstand why some people stil give him credit for this poor performance ...

Replacing him with Vincent (on The Silent Enigma) was the best decision Anathema could have made in those days ...
