for someone relativly new to the game what would you recomend for db stalkers for a secondary?

I personally don't like WP for stalkers because WP's high end use is balanced out by QR. But, stalkers have to give up a power to get hide, and they take QR away (bad decision by the devs IMO).

However, DB for the stalker is incredible. DB is a pretty hard hitting set as is, and with a stalker's build up it really comes alive. Plus, the combos are set up better for my play style with the stalker.

I built a DB/Ninjutsu Stalker I really like. I prefer that combination.

Anyone know if DB/Energy stalkers are good at getting jobs done without trouble or is that not a good idea? I'm trying to make a stalker but wanna try some other combination with DB.

honestly man db/will all the way VERY low damage intake and high damage output i tried it loveing it soloing 2-3man missions etc its great just carry lots of catch breaths because it can chew up endurance i find.

He's at a state where typically it becomes really easy to execute yellows. I had this same issue with MA/Nin when CoV first came out. Difficult as first but once you spec yourself out and learn the mechanics you dominate. I can one shot reds at 28 right now with BU and AS, then combo the rest in the area with the sweep ability. Good times.

It's really good to see a stalker that knows how to us DB/WP. I think the two reasons people don't like this for stalkers, the first being PvP, which I can understand that very much, and the next being the combos. I think the problem most run into is that they try to make every attack a combo, not just for the stalkers but the other ATs too. And that is why I love your vid, you did pull off some sweet combos, but it wasn't like you where trying to make or turn every attack into a combo.

It does! The stalker version is actually significantly larger than the other versions in partial compensation for losing the PBAoE.

Well DB/WP for stalker have been change to "fit stalker now".COmbo system should "work" better now

I can see that this DB/Will is a powerful combo, but I also see the difficulty in combining them as a Stalker. You seem, in your playing, to have a good grip on the concept and play your character very well. Kudos to you.

I don't know why so many people think that. There are people on test with level-bumped warshades from Issue 3. The only time anything's ever been deleted on test was when they did a backup, complete wipe, and restore during I6 and I7 testing.

What's more, you can always copy over characters from the main servers. I've deleted and recopied my high-level Scrapper and my mid-level MaM at least a dozen times.

Omg this is too raw. I'm going to start playing again to make a new scrapper, or possibly stalker. DB looks like it does alot of damage. Think they might nerf that? What would you rate DB on scale of 1-10? Sorry many questions, just really excited. ^__^

I don't really anticipate any nerfs. The only changes made to specific DB powers in closed beta were typo/bug fixes for the damage of two attacks, some minor combos adjustments, and a buff to the range of the stalker tier 9. Scrappers, tanks, and brutes get a PBAoE in addition to the two cones. I'd put it somewhere between Claws, Katana, and Spines: less sustained damage than Claws, less burst damage than Katana, less AoE than Spines, but comfortably competitive with all three at once.

Each of the Scrapper primaries so far has just one side-effect, (DM de-buffs accuracy, etc) but DB has a much wider range of effects. Some combos debuff enemies (like the Weaken combo) while others actually buff you. Not as strong in terms of those combo effects, but you get a much wider range of them.

I don't see a nerfing in the future, considering it's pretty well-balanced IMO. I've dealt some good damage with the Weaken combo, but not so much that it's overpowered.
