 there is no way you can classify this with the rest of electronic music....there's a distinctive difference that needs to be pointed out...that's why it is a sub-genre of electronic music, this would be most commonly classified as new wave synth pop.

"mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk" is a good description I think- To just call this 'electronic' is WAY too vague and too much of a blanket term- and to be honest a cop-out. Creative descriptions are OK, they work as long as you don't take the terms too seriously.
