@AVGuy2981, there are many many different bagpipes. From Ireland in the west to India in the east... And from Finland in the north to North Africa in the south... The family of this instrument is huge, the differences are great as well, as you can see.

Esas flautas que hablas son las "Launeddas" creo yo.

Plinio ha mencionado "gaetha" y Estrabón hizo menciones dese instrumento pero no lo llamó de gaita. Las launedas eran populares a casi todos indoeuropeos de linguas celtas y germanicas, sendo considerado el precursor de la gaita, pero hay indicios de que hayan existido al mismo tiempo en la misma epoca en que vivieran los celtas, antes de la llegada de los godos.

Creo que escribió CELTA por que como han dicho escritores y antropologos griegos de antiguamente como Plinio y Strabo, los celtas que vivian en la peninsula Iberica tocavan gaitas como las de hoy en dia.

Un par de libros puede caer bien a usted.

En cuanto al par de libros vose debería leer La guerra de la Galias de Julio César y otra documentación antigua, en que se describe q los pueblos d la Cultura d La Téne tocaban el cornix. Por cierto fueron los romanos los q inventaron la gaita de fole(cornamussa en latín) y se la mostraron a los "celtas"

No bajes el nivel...eres civilizado el bastante para que no lo hagas.

Otra vez te equivocas cuando piensas que los romanos inventaran a la gaita, pues mucho tiempo antes de crearen la cornamusa, los egipcios, asirios y hasta los sumerianos ya la tocaban, hay relatos e pruebas de todo eso.

Se encontraran gaitas pre-romanas en la escandinavia y donde es hoy Holanda, además creen que se utiliza la gaita en Iberia desde la edad del hierro, cuando Roma todavia no existia.

tutti che parlano di celti appena vedono una cornamusa. la cornamusa nasce in siria e fu diffusa in tutto il mondo dai romani che la utilizzavano per spaventare i cavalli avversari. in Gran Bretagna fu utilizzata proprio contro le armate galliche che al massimo conoscevano qualche tamburo o flautino. la musica dell'età del ferro era una merda tribale. sono stati i Romani a introdurre la SACCA AUREA cioè la cornamusa.

Perchè prima di sparare cazzate sui celti non studiate!!!!.

leggi il mio commento! la cornamusa non c'entra niente con i celti ma fu importata dalla siria dai Romani che la usavano per spaventare le cavallerie avversarie, la sacca aura era lo strumento preferito di augusto e di commodo. i celti la conobbero ben più tardi dai pastori latini che si mischiarono a loro. difatti la cornamusa la trovi perfino in calabria dove i celti non sono mai stati. finiamola con i celtismi del cazzo alla fine i celti erano solo ubriaconi e fanfaroni lo dice strabone.

el hecho de que no sea la típica gaita a la que estamos los gaiteros mas acostumbrados a tocar, oir, ver...como son la gallega, asturiana...no hay que llamar de "monstruo" a una gaita distinta. esta gaita tiene un sonido espléndido amigo, y muy bien tocada. seguid defendiendo vuestros instrumentos tradicionales o serán absorvidos por los mas conocidos en sustitución, como dijo aqui "arevaci85" con toda la razón del mundo.

Then really is a celtic song. Is a reel called clumsy lover. You can heard this tune in a Carlos Nuñez CD "Os Amores Libres" at the end of song called "Raggle Taggle gipsy". This song is played for Carlos Nuñez and WaterBoys (I'm not sure at this moment).

If you search "wild celtic" in youtube, you can heart so this song in a set of three reels.
