They need to sample a hell of a lot more people before anything can be definitive about the sound quality. Try 50 people, and then we can come back and have a serious discussion. Also, each person should have listened to several sound bits with different characterisitics on each player.

well you gotta understand the difference from pronounced bass fx and flat sound. a flat sound will always sound better to the more refined connoisseur of music and the pronounced "saturated" bass sound tends to appeal to the average person simply because it is easier to relate to the emotions and messages of the song but sadly saturated bass isn't the way the song was recorded in the first place.
Plus Ipod is been longer and has a simple and easy system that perfectly syncs (Itunes) with it...You have so many Ipods to choose from and has options like 1g 2g 4g 5g 10g (etc...) you can hack it to play all sorts of files, you can put games on it...use it as a back up hardrive and best for me...Has 80 gigs of space (which I'm using 72 gigs of it...IPOD WINS!!!
