i still have his album "Beat That #?!* Drum" learned so much from him in 74' playing along, the best Wipeout ("Ever") The Work Song, Beat That #?!* Drum, all the cuts are just incredible ....john
anybody know how to cointact this man, Sandy Nelson? I have a poloroid picture of him that he signed for my father who was in the VA hospital in Long Beach, CA. My father died before I got to know him and I wanted to ask Mr. Nelson some questions about him. My fathers name was Benjamin but weveryone called him Buckets.
Sandy is one of my al time favs and i would be honored if someone can have him sign a bass drumhead for me.I would appreciate it!Long Live The Master of "Wipeout",sandy Nelson!Brainy,Brainman Media
Sandy would like to go to the fall drum festival in Montreal but has a tough time traveling, long hours in a confined space are difficult for him so the 15 hour flight to Australia would be very tough. He's very happy that people still enjoy his music. He's still a great drummer and we Boulder City residents are very grateful for his occasional performance in town.
Does he have a prosthetic leg now? Is there any chance you could convince Mr Nelson to come to Australia??? I just love the guy. I'd love to get his autograph!
You're welcome. Been busy lately but think Sandy said something about another vhs tape, will ask the next time we run into each other, usually at the coffee cup cafe in Boulder City, Nevada.
Impressive... as always.
