I'm torn -- I love Mendes' original work, but I like the Black Eyed Peas, too. In fact, I learned about the Peas from Sergio!

Technically, since he performs with them, their versions are not covers, but collaborations. In Brazil today, a lot of old-school bossa nova is being mixed in different -- stuff like Bossa Cuca Nova. I go back and forth!

I love this, I'm a 62 year old black man, yea, lived throught segregation, racism and the like and I dreamed that one day we would really have equality, you know, be like everyone else. Black eyed peas are my heros. In my life time I've seen equality. They have no talent, can't sing nor dance and yet they have managed to make money, just like white people.
