The first album, I had it on album and 8 track! I used to put on those big white Koss headphones and jam and my parents didn't what I was listening to.
@blueblob4 Haha ;D Yeah. I study music production. You know, mixing, recording and stuff like that. And also a lot of theory. And now in the last year we got to choose an instrument we wanted to learn.
@StandInVoidZones yeah but you are assuming that i would lynch violently - i lynch with love, funk and enlightenment so the irony is that your understanding of irony is on par with alanis morrissette's :)
Saw that they will be playing at the Hop Farm Music Festival here in the UK with a lot of heavyweight groups and it reminded me of the time I saw them in the SF Bay area shortly after he left Sly and the Family Stone - great band and glad to see that they are back playing again!!!
This song heped me make the decision to quit taking bass lessons. My teacher couldn't slap. From then on my record player, Larry Graham, Louis Johnson, Kool Bell, Alphonso Johnson, Stanley Clarkeand others became my teachers.
@friskydeadman yeaa man im a drummer, but Larry Graham, their bassist/singer, was the man who got me to start the bass four years back. they got some kickin tunage.
check out any of his bass solo's, there fuckin groovin man. you should also check out Marcus Miller. listen to a song of his called "Power" if you ever get a chance.
@friskydeadman G.C.S is totally the reason why i learned bass haha, check out primus you wrote this a year ago so i assume you already have if not GET THE FUNK OVER THERE :P
Many moons ago when I first heard this, my P-Bass was very soon history. Had to have that Jazz Bass like Larry Graham.
