The ground force were made up of circa 5000 troops and the ground war lasted 21 days - 2 months only an RG would count the time of a north and south atlantic cruise as a successful military defense.
Germany has never sent a liberation force half way round the world, then staged a successful military operation never had the equipment or the capability

@bluemuleii Our pilots had to attack in 4-6 at the time without air covering, without enough fuel to make it back to base, to face 34 harriers (12 in the air), land defenses with rapiers, stingers etc, your entire fleet defended with sea darts, sea wolfs, 40 mm, etc etc, and even so they managed to hit 30 high tech war ships, your lot couldnt just hit one enormous inmovil target, the airstrip at Stanley.....WOW!

@bluemuleii The tankers where enough considering that there were only 4 to 6 bombers to refuel but they couldnt risk entering inside the range of the Harriers (although they did many times). the main problem was that they didnt have time to chose the target, just enough to attack the first thing they saw.

Argentina had many more troops than britian and weeks to dig into formidible natural defensive positions
