  • its very nice!

i'am looking for years what cant of enginge is standing on myne crawler tractor MG6

and that enginge i have standing,i am looking for information adjustments and

    parts

when everting works i make a video from

  • Looks like a JAP 5. I have one too. I also have the 55 which is the 2 cylinder version of this engine.

  • Nice project! A few years ago I saw a historical race (F1 and other categories) with race cars powered by huge 1.5 liter 1 cylinder(!!) JAP engines! Fantastic sound. These engines are very reliable and not too difficult to service. Keep the faith...your patience and efforts will be rewarded !!!

  • holllly moly that's got a hell of a lot of compression! I hope the ants didn't ruin the magneto!

  • Nah, mag's 100% now!

Starting a high compression engine with a crank handle will be fun :D

  • careful, wouldn't want you to lose an arm. you need 2 arms to cut open compressors and stuff :D

  • That is one monster of an engine! ,good luck with getting her running. Any idea what you might use it for?

  • I amy not be keeping this one here, I have a good friend who needs one for an indoor pumping unit, it may find a home there!.

but I'll maintain and re-aquire it when he's done with it.

  • yeah loads of ants!.

The bore and stroke is about the same as the Howard Jr, I wish it had the same compression!

  • The piston and bore certainly look good!

lmfao ant farm in your magneto! :P

  • lol yeah the ants were a surprise!

its fixed now!, already gotten a good zap in the hand from it :D

  • haha nice ;)

  • nice compression.

My old JAP i use to have, i use to be able to start it just by ticking it over the compression(heaps of compression like yours) yours will probly start like that aswell.

its got a nice flywheel hopefully a good idle

  • I tried a few times last night with start spray in the inlet tract and she fired effortlessly on TDC, always went the right way too!

  • nice job. good engine.

  • LOL ant farm just clean and dry it out dont use it because that can short it out fast if you try to run it when its wet but yea looks like your lucky very nice engine too and i wonder how are you going to start this monster lol

  • yeah I rebuilt the mag last night!, condensor was fried, prolly why they dumped it.

A well trained gorilla ,may be needed to start it though, the compression is incredible!
