I am a native of Montgomery, Alabama and some of my classmates and I are in the clips of water hoses knocking us down. Thank you for creating and posting this collage of Our History. Passing it forward, God bless you for sharing your creativity, truely, Young,Gifted and Black.
Thank you caramel. Keep up the good work. I was asking around to see what we could do to get a black history channel on direct or cable? If you have any ideas, maybe we can get it done. Much love and Peace to you.
nice video i like the message of the song it so true we - as black people do not know very much about our history , which is a MAJOR CONTRADICTION FROM WHAT THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA WANTS TO TELL US
thanku so much for doin this man!.......can never take enough time and just reflect on how far weve come, and where we are going....just want to say rest in peace to sean bell also...no matter who is wrong are right.....someone lost there son,and soon to be husband...thats all that matters.
Nicely done. Powerful images coulpled with a powerful song.
I do have a question for MusicDivaC: Are you sure that quote is from Marcus Garvey? Sounds like that came from Huey Newton or someone of that era. Dead Prez have this quote to start one of their songs. Could you point me to your source?
My sister made this video and I will always support her. It's an awesome video! It's so well put together. First, time I saw it I cried.
I was born BLACK. I live BLACK and Imma die BLACK, probably because Im BLACK, because some cracker that knows Im BLACK, better than YOU NIGGA, is probably going to put a bullet in tha back of my head! - Marcus Garvey
Its time to put an end to black crime and put their black ass in jail. I will be damn if I let these animals initiate crime in my neighborhood thats why I'm putting an end to this their thug rap music bullshit! White America doesn't need this shit!
Your video is a powerful collection of images that particularly resonates for those of us old enough to remember those times vividly. The music was an absolute perfect addition of "emotion" and setting for those powerful images. I am absolutely amazed at some of the hateful and ignorant-of-facts responses that some people sent, but that's why this vehicle, YouTube, is so valuable, allowing anyone an opportunity to editorialize. Thank you, again, for these images.
