One can't help but wonder if she's venturing outside opera... but what? I think her art has suffered trenmendously coz of her self consciousness , sexuality
This is porno???...you've got to be kidding!..i guess a woman has to look like a beast to qualify her as a singer?...grow up and get in the new century!...its only been around for ten years now.Modernizing opera is not a mortal sin.I'm 56 and i find this version refreshing and not the same old historic performances.,which were great, but its time we turn the page and update things.
Hello? I might be blind, but it seems to me that everything is covered, and I don't see any kind of sex here. Not to mention that Manon isn't exactly a nun. Personally, I prefer traditional staging to updated ones, so I'd much rather she had worn something from the 19th century, but this is beside the point, it's staging issue. If you consider this porno, I wonder what you'd say about some stagings of the Dance of the Seven Veils in Salome.
These 10 last seconds shows how important it is for an operasinger to be able to do more than just sing. She has to be a performer too. Netrebko can act, and sing, and she loves it.
I think this is one of the best interpretations of this aria I have ever seen or heard. Netrebko sings with so much feeling, sincerity, depth, emotion, style, class, and of course, talent. Brava!

Striker9410 Miss and Miss Leoperarm have nothing to do with Maria Callas.
The heirs of Maria Callas and his entire family of Mrs. Callas require that this pair of insane and no longer refer or talk about Maria Callas. Whole Family of Maria Callas require this pair of degenerates and criminals LEOPERARM and STRIKER9410 shut and never refer to or talk about Maria Callas.
Traviata - Ms. Netrebko displayed ample power, coloratura bravura with a marvelous tone Having recently heard Natalie Dessay sing Sempre Libera at the Met Gala, one was impressed by the legato nature of Netrebko's portray in contrast to Dessay's intentional staccato, fragmented phrasing interpretation. Having also seen photos of Fleming in her current Violetta at the ROH, one can only marvel at Netrebko's resilience, endurance and commitment to bel canto opera.

Can't blame Anna for her improper French diction. There are many singers with much worse.
And Fleming may put more feeling into her music but she has her flaws too. Lots of slides and other mannerisms that many people would rather not hear.
Annas voice is impressively stable here. The beady shine, the triumphant height, the fully of longing whispering deeper register in the piano, all that can point-exactly focus them or melodically allow to flow.
But, two weak stagings of Vincent Patersons in Berlin and Andrei Serbans in Vienna!!!
For the first time Anna's really big weakness becomes visible: If a weak director produces them, her acting talent wears itself out. Differently than in Deckers "Traviata" or Guths „Figaro.
I will sneeze if I hold flowers close to me while I sing.

Bellafredina, your Russian Mafia campaign of promoting Netrebko, and dissing all other singers is failing miserably. You and Filaredo are getting
slammed globally. In a matter of time the world opera community will disfavor Netrebko. She is Popera/MTV. Time will tell.
