very good lad this film im just letting you know that im making a mountain castle railway and it's nearly finished i'll just put in the finishing touches of grass and gravle then it's ready for some stories coming soon.
I do adore the effects youve used in this re-edit although as ive mentioned on msn, you just need to keep the hues of the add ons (skies and so on) consistant with the footage, the only scene this effected though was the opening shed scene, the rest such as the station scene and the port was done brilliantly.
I liked the little changes, like the birds in the sky (and in some scenes, the sky itself).
I imagine the eyes must've been tough to animate. Thought Thomas's eyes looked like there was sun coming off them, it looked nice. Would have been nice to see a similar effect from Archibald's. The eyes made it seem that much more like the original series for me, though. I'm happy :)
really excited now for episode 8, the little changes make the viewing more worthwhile :)
@Lightninging63 - thanks :) I'm really pleased with the eye editing. I don't know weather my metyhod is common or not but it's working, glad you all like it. naturally mechanized eyes would be better but 'm happy with this, does the job. I made this mainly for practise for 8 and beyond. Seems it was worth it after all becasue I get bored of seeing y own episodes and I think alot of you do too, need more!
That was impressive editing, Knuckles. I particularly admired the moving eyes; it's a bit more realistic for a start, and it seemed to add to Archibald's sharp tone a bit on the line "GO AWAY! You're spoiling my image!"
If I'm to be honest though, while episode 7 was a great team-effort by all and still a brilliant vid, I always preferred your own writing and narration, Sparkshot; this episode lacked the humour of the previous six episodes, which entertain both my very young son and I equally. That's just me being selfish though!
Excellent work, mate. Looking forward to your future vids.
@kevinjohnglover - I'm trying to keep my series flexible, rather than fixate a style I want to make episodes that fall into different style catagories. Ep 1-3 were made up stories loosely based on RWS, 4-5 were totally loose, no rules just bring out the madness, 6 was a remake with a few changes, 7 was a story written by another and 8 will be very serious. But who knows, maybie 9 will be loose again! thanks for the comments.
Gotta love the improvement, how did you managed to get the background look real (the sky over to the scenery and the ground? I'm eager to know about it.
Bill and Ben sound like the peas from Veggitales, I love it!

Over 3 years later and this still holds it's own. The editing is definitely good practice for episode 8.I feel nostalgic watching this again :)

Some good effects added into this. Moving eye must've been tough. Would mine me enquiring what programme you used?
Hope all is progressing well in your world of modelling.

Better quality, but I can't remember, was the moving eyes in the old one, or is this something new, cause its good.
