peculiarly the RC car and plane people seem to be ridiculing these along the lines of "well they don't DO anything" which is silly. what do their cars or planes do? just drive/fly around in simulation of the real machine. so does this.

I used to be a real player but now I'm out of the forklift game, have to leave it for you kids.... (lol, "forklift game". $7 an hour toiling in an appliance retailer warehouse)

@batvette $7 an hour for driving a forklift ??? fucking hell your wages are terrible i work as a fork lift operator in the uk and i get equivelent of $13.50 per hour and thats basic wage. top up with night shift rates and performance bonus (easy to achieve) and i can bring home just short of $500 for one 12 hour night shift on a Sunday . So many diff pay rates for this job its unreal . . a guy i know makes $110,000US a year working the open cast mines in Australia

@StolenMonkey FWIW that was back in the '80's, but I'm in San Diego which is one of those areas of the US where wages are low but but people stay because the weather is insanely great. . However you are right there are a very wide range of wages you can cite in jobs like this, I know guys in construction making $15 an hour and others making $50. Working in mines tho.... no thanks!

This video is made using a technique called "Stop & Go" where the camera records a frame or two and then stops. the forklifts are then moved a bit and another frame or two is shot. It is very tedious but these are not actually remote control forklifts at all.
