  • this mad dog should be dead.

  • He screamed his head off during nomination day... thank you for not screaming here.

  • seriously how was he allowed to so obviously suan PAP on national tv?!

are their scripts not checked through to prevent riots?!

  • horsay liao . all factory no need close dwn liao.

    thumbs down tjs and sdp

  • @ongrat dun vote for tan jee say. he will ruin singapore

  • TT won. If TCB won I would have been just as happy. I am happy too TJS FAILED AND FAILED BADLY. HORRAY!...... HORRAY!!!. NICOLE where are you? You not supporting a losing team? SDP where are you guy? You are not behind a losing team as well?

  • His words are seriously sickeningly and looks so sneaky. His speech sounds more like vengeance against government. He does have a lot of emotional baggage.

  • though words are really irritating to my ears , his words are true , even if he is sneaky , his intentions are true, I want a president that Is will unify us , i want a president who cares about his people , i want an impartial and fair president , not some Pap Bootlicker who is just content with the current situation

  • got to give him credit for being vocal against the pap

  • Tomorrow you will see a man with a BROKEN HEART. I see he is loosing his confidence and morale. He already tired. So how is he going to last as a president when he even havn't got appointed? HE IS SO SICKENING TO LISTEN TO!

  • It seems that TJS went undercover in TKL's camp double cross him to stand for election. Such sneaky persons are dangerous. Is this the president we want? We want somebody who has statute not a quarrelsome or loose canon. We do not want an idiot.

  • PAP has planted some quacks like limeyslime1 to put TJS down. Anyway, a President to unite? Get real.....we need a President to check the powers of the government, not just the PAP. My vote goes to him.

  • No not all 40% who voted for opposition during the GE will vote for him. Those who truly understand what is the role of president will not vote for him. Hence he will not have my vote. Me too want a president who will unite Singaporeans instead of dividing us (Quoted @limeyslime1) GE and PE is just not the same!

  • My My... Looks like the PAP stooges are hard at work to give the impression that the people are against this candidate.... Honestly.... Choosing Tony Tan is like begging your abuser to abuse you further.... anyone is better then another PAP man... Please singapore.... wake up.... the GE was disappointing enough.... They should have lost more then just one GRC.

As for you pap stooges trolling the net... u can't deny the truth... One way or another it was catch up to you and bite you hard.

  • TJS i will pay u $100 to go for english lesson

  • @97432561 he studied before in a university before , unlike you.

  • @Alv0luzionTV u sure i nv study in a university b4?

  • @97432561 see you type know already what

  • @Alv0luzionTV u very samrt. smart like tan jee say. only know how to oppose. IDIOT

  • wake up your fcking idea, this is a president election, not a party election, tan jee say toll the line of the opposition , you really sucks, stupid fool

  • stop criticizing, my fellow Singaporeans. Be mature and constructive in your comments. After attending Tan Jee Say's rally, I had made up my mind that HE is the one who could deliver. It is time for a change for the better ; for the sake of our future generations..

  • Dear TJS, I've learnt from America, that extremely opposing stances (eg. Democrats vs Republicans) among leaders will result in inefficiency and stagnancy. Can you assure us that you wouldn't be a stumbling block if elected?

  • tan jee say, do not have the charisma of a president, more like an uncle criticizing govt

  • Watch TJS makes me want to cry. Does he know what he wants in the first place. TJS is loosing his confidence I notice. He knows he is not going to win and hence and is starting to be hostile. You can tell from the crowd turn out the people are there to see his side dish. TJS lacks charisma. I notice people are somewhat coaxed to clap. TAN JEE SAY - WHY WASTE OUR TIME? GIVE UP LAH. IT IS FATED YOU ARE BOUND TO LOOSE AND LOOSE YOUR DEPOSIT AS WELL

  • He macham opposition wanting to go into the govt.

  • I believe that only Mr Tan Cheng Bock and Mr Tan Jee Say have the chance to win this PE 2011. All the best to you both who sounds so from the heart in your own way. Your moral and social conscience are so raw to the core of all singaporeans that are so long being crippled by PAP government for the last 50 odd yrs. I wish you both have good votes and sg citizen needed your voice more than ever.....for singapore not the ruling government. situation has changed since 1965.....well done.

  • Just heard TJS wants to consult the Prime Minister for the matters of Foreign Affairs if elected. Did he not say he wants to tear down the Ruling Party and yet expect cooperation? He is a joker. What is TJS real intention? He wants to do so many things... He is not superman. To be a president wannabe first you got to be humble. I can see TJS is losing confidence already. 65% vote to TT, 25% vote to TCB, TKL 9%, TJS 0.5%... the rest spoil votes.

  • His career in banking have not been scrutinized yet. It was written he had a short stay in all his jobs. Why? Why you would you want a JOB HOPPER as a president? Are we wanting a PARTTIME or SHORTTERM PRESIDENT? We need to know more from his Client how they felt about him. None has come forward so you do not really know him or can rely on what he says. Anyway how wants a PRESIDENT FOR A DISCOUNT.

  • wow. it was so charismatic that the whole speech gave me an enlightenment. CHECKS AND BALANCES.

  • Comment removed

  • The President's Role IS NOT JUST TO PROVIDE CHECKS AND BALANCES. Mr Tan Jee Say. You clearly don't get it.

  • ATE SLEPT WALK AND BREATHE PAP. Means can't have moral courage? Not all PAP members think the same way. They debate among themselves too you know? Btw this is PE and GE haiyo.

  • @bahbahmoo not*

  • god. this guy has no charisma. so do the other three guys. i want someone with a barack obama kind of charisma.

  • Heart of the Nation? You already want to create separation between Opposition and the Government. Influencing the fellow people to join in footsteps. President is to give good, sensible, beneficial advice to the Government and not making checks and balances to make thing can't work on properly within the Government. I don't even want to see a President of Singapore ranting all over the places arguing with people he don't like or things he don't like. Interest of the people or himself

  • I have read a few comments..I do not know where did they get the inormation

on the manufacturing issue....Nonsence and puting words in other mouth!!

  • It's not the opposition versus the PAP this time ! it's the individual candidates capabilities , the president isn't just to provide checks and balances . You are not just to oppose the government .

  • Errr, TJS you are running for the wrong election, just in case you're not aware!!!

  • Den what for I vote for the opposition? If president is to provide check and balances. What are oppositions for? Don't use the public sentiment wave against the ruling government policies to provide a platform for your presidential election. I don't want a president to have moral courage to challenge the gov. I want the oppositions to have that. Btw you sound like a robot!

  • @limeyslime Manufacturing is essentially a race to the bottom in terms of wages. Why do you think factories are always on the move towards countries with low wages. They are in China now, as the Chinese standard of living rises factories will inevitably move out to other countries. This is why Tan Jee Say advocates stopping the generous subsidies for manufacturing industries, and focus on service industries.

  • @aegisofrime Yeah, i do agree with you on that point =) but again, he did state he wishes to place "all singaporeans at the heart of his policies". I don't know if you have relatives in manufacturing, but I would imagine mine would not be very happy. Of course if he decides to use all the resources in the reserves to pay off their retirement then why not? =)

  • @aegisofrime

Why would a country that has survived it past economic success gives up manufacturing? You got to be joking. Manufacturing does have to be labour intensive, but value added. One moment this President elect was to denied foreign and he want the service sector to grow. It can only grow if we add more foreign workers right? So what is he talking about? So muddle head. He must be focus and not a scatterbrain.

  • Mr Tan, I want a president who will unite the Singaporeans, instead of dividing us. I wonder if the unifying role that the president engages with the parliment as mentioned by you would include the shifting out of the manufacturing industry. I really wonder how that is an economic philosophy that places ALL singaporeans at the heart of its policies.

Anyway it seems that your only premise for being president is to provide checks against the PAP.

  • @limeyslime1 i agree with you! this isn't a PAP vs OPPOSITION GE again -_-

  • TJS, you got 40% of singaporean, who voted for opposition during the GE, will vote for you.

We want you to be the president so that to release information on the our country reserve and accountable when this funds go to.

  • NO to Tan Jee Say!

  • well, what he states are FACTs.

what we are voting is a president as stated in the constitution is to provide 2ND keys to our reserves and AND CPF. It's only obvious that both Tony Tan and TCB are dubious if u are to are about what an auditors is and not a match-making center.

You might not like his tone but that's reality about our state of governance we need to wake up to before it is too late.

  • These jokers want to get into Govt through the PE when they can't even get in through the GE. Singaporeans are not stupid to vote him in. Period.

  • Mr Tan rightly argues the need for non-partisanship with respect to the office of the Presidency. But he doesn't sound very non-partisan to me. He may 'never have been a member of the PAP', but he has in fact been a political candidate for office as an active member of another political party. How 'neutral' does that make him? What office is he actually running for?
