  • I wish they would get back together for some reunion tour

  • Phish should boot Jon Fishman and recruit Stewart Copeland.

  • @IraHayesIraHayes thats a joke

  • @iamdkal311 Or Keith Moon...

  • @IraHayesIraHayes the band is named after him haha

  • @iamdkal311 Everybody knows that Phish is an acronym for "Paige's Hammond Is So Heavy" P.H.I.S.H.

  • @IraHayesIraHayes good one haha

  • @IraHayesIraHayes Dude, there is no I n Page's name, other wise, LOL

  • What a waste of Stewart Copeland's talent.

  • @spektor88 I'll bet that STUART COPELAND would not agree with you. I don't think someone forced him into the group...keep your ignoramus opinions to yourself.

  • @spektor88

lol, all 3 are all stars of music and they came together to make an amazing supergroup. This was a blessing to music fans, pick up the album at least, you'll agree, if you have any taste

  • There will never be another group like these guys...ever.

  • Steampunk Bill Hicks can slap dat bass.

  • is that the police drummer?

  • @90eyehategod sure is.

  • @90eyehategod Yes he was the drummer for the police. Trey (guitar) is the lead singer for Phish and Les (bass) is the lead singer for Primus.

  • Oysterhead is awesome.

  • Primus was not metal learn proper music classification.

  • When will we get a Oysterhead Reprise!

  • @drkilcourse Bonnaroo 2006.

  • trey sucks, les is awesome

  • @paulcapr999 trey is fucking awesome

  • @hazyphonics maybe if you like mediocre guitar, horrible lyrics, and gimmicks

  • @paulcapr999 I really hope youre kidding...

  • And to think Les Claypool used to be a metalhead

  • @TheEhce METALHEAD...IN WHAT UNIVERSE...

  • @bitesale That was his start. Look up Blind Illusion. He was best friends with Jim from FNM and he was tapped to replace Cliff in Metallica originally

  • I remember downloading this album on 9/10/2001, I went to bed while it downloaded, man technology is really getting fast, and when I woke up i started listening to it. Soon after my roommate bust in and told me america was under attack, I didn't believe him. after a while listening to this i went to take a leak and saw 9/11 on the tv. you could faintly hear oysterhead from my room. it sucks, but every time i listen to the awesomeness that is oysterhead im reminded of 9/11...

  • @a2r1v1i2s Dude... that sucks...

  • I still can't believe this side project ever happend, but very exciting nevertheless.

  • Oysterhead probably has to be my favorite super group, next to phish =D

  • Conan to Stewart: "It's amazing to meet you"

  • This is freaking awesome!!!!

  • LES IS ROCKING AN SP303, SO BASED

  • Damn national TV, never mixing the bass loud enough.

  • @Canaveral305 This was recorded on a talk show stage, meaning that the microphones on the cameras are EQ'd for Conan's high voice, to pick up the highs, and not the lows from the external speakers. That's why there's not enough bass :/

  • Primus sucks but Oysterhead REALLY sucks! \,,/

  • @maximus8012 You best be trolling.

  • @maximus8012

Letterman sucks but Conan REALLY REALLY sucks!! EVH4EVA

  • this is probally the best thing i've ever seen :)

  • Does Les still do drugs??

  • @Ihavenonameismyname nah he's clean now

  • i really thought that primus was god awful when i first started listening to them; after i listen to them, phish, oysterhead, i realized theyre all terrible. primus sucks, phish sucks, oysterhead SUCKS. i wish they weren't on national tv

  • @HArryhood421 yeah you're right. 3 of the most talented musicians on earth together at once playing some of the heaviest funkiest rock ever created is sucky. fuck off.

  • @slshaw1234 sorry pal, primus sucks :,(

  • @HArryhood421 i agreed with you man. hence the "yeah you're right" at the beginning. you stupid or something?

  • @HArryhood421 oh the irony you do know that by saying primus sucks you mean primus is fucking awesome

  • @HArryhood421 harry, harry, why do you hate phish if your name is harryhood?

  • @HArryhood421 You're right, primus sucks.

  • Trey and Les. Im in heaven

  • Had Stewart come out of the gate (after The Police) with a band like this, instead of Animal Logic, it would have been really cool. He hasn't lost one bit of his chops.

  • lol he looks like clapton

  • Brilliant-- amazing music and what tribute to the amazing John C. Lilly.

  • Copeland and Claypool on the same stage.......It doesn't get any better......

  • When he said Les Claypool, I swear I thought he said Let's play pool.

  • The bass player sounds kind of like Roger Waters when he sings.

  • @mindfreak990

"the bass player" he says, he says.

  • @funincluded I'm sorry, Les Claypool, who is a god in his own respects. Happy?

  • @mindfreak990

I was at Bonnaroo when you wrote this. yes, I was happy.

  • @funincluded Aww I wanted so much to go to Bonnaroo this year! Family matters got in the way. But I'm sorry, I shall never soil the name that is Les Claypool again.

  • Almost as good as the McLovins

  • @richiemabie hahahaha mclovins kick so much ass

  • @thephan1113 That they do, Jeff the guitar player just turned 17 last week. He is one of my favorite guitar players. I don't know why

  • Copeland is WAY too busy here. The fuck is he on!?

  • If you remember nothing else you better still remember the music.....what are the lyrics about a Dr.?

  • @Imspacedbro Dr. John C. Lilly was psychoanalyst that helped to create the first isolation tank in an effort to isolate it from outside stimulations. in 60s he often used isolation tanks while under the influence of LSD or ketamine (in the tank he's grooving..) to study the consciousness of humans. interesting reads, if you ever get the chance.

  • @joshuarjonesftw like lilly pharmeceuticals?

  • @joshuarjonesftw Wasn't there a movie about it? or I saw something on TV about it how his assistant would try to get him out so he could go home, but the doctor wanted to stay in the water......any connection with lilly pharmeceuticals?

  • @Imspacedbro and by "isolate it", i mean isolate the brain from outside stimuli.

  • If you remember nothing else you better still remember the music

  • dude look how short Trey is compared to Conan!!!!

  • Conan looks fat here. Great song.

  • OYSTER HEAD!!!!!!!!!!,lol

  • This was great, but who is Orangehead? 3:33

  • FODÁSTICO!

  • Man their is just two many awesome people in this video overload

  • @c0d3x001 I wouldn't say that this is a perfect live performance. It is very good, but you can see it in Copeland's face when he either mistimes a note or something like that. It also kinda seems like Trey's guitar is a little quiet, but they fixed that before the next bar. Still, the song takes about a minute to warm up here, and when it does it is killer.

  • @GrandaddyPhunk that'S what i love about this performance... it's not that stiff or sterile... you know what i mean... you can actually enjoy watching them play even if there was no music

  • @GrandaddyPhunk You think this song takes a minute to warm up? I say you are stupid and insane. The intro is sick! Copeland's beat burns from the first stroke and you don't know shit about music!

  • @OKstateCOWboyz

    Shit... chill out

  • @OKstateCOWboyz I've been a studio drummer for 35 years... but you're right, I obviously know nothing about music.

  • my favorite bass player (i have seen primus live) my favorite gitarist (i love gong to phish concerts and the police are oviosly a rally good band

  • sloppy but cool

  • @iamcraiger wow.. whats sloppy about this? of course it's not as perfect as the studio version cause they can't record every instrument individually and do as many takes as they want... this is perfect live performance ...i love it

  • half these people have no clue how much their skulls just got fucked

  • @ajbellis

well if they don't know then their skulls actually remain unfucked

  • i think there's a new entry on my list of albums to buy

  • this is like an NBA allstar game, accept without a bunch of (nba) bums

  • i dont give a fuck what tempo its played at chill out its fucking trey les and stew in one band

  • This is one of the best "supergroups" i have listened to, they need to tour again.

  • the best at what each do. best bass ever best drums ever and of course phish.

    who can complain

  • Les doing harmonies, Crazy!

  • the song is played faster because they have a time frame to play it in...this is not a 3:42 song but in order to fit the time frame of the show they had to cut out solos and make it a ll faster...its called show biz lol

  • sooooo dammmmmnnnn GOOOOOODDD!!!

  • i love how conan bumb rushes trey at the end for the hand shake. hahaha

  • UUUUU

  • Too bad Stew rushes every tune he plays live.

  • @TheDeitch

most people do play faster live, adrenaline gets pumping

  • @popomczowzow They are professional musicians and they should be able to play it right. especially at claypool's level.

  • @ScottieBaio

a faster tempo doesn't mean it's not "right." and virtually every single band plays with a slight increase in tempo live. Jimi Hendrix did it, Led Zeppelin did it, Frank Zappa did it, Phish does it, The Police did it, Primus does it....you know what I'd love it if you could find me one talented band that hasn't done it. I'm not being sarcastic, I'd really want to see it,

  • @ScottieBaio They probably planned it that way...who cares what tempo they play it in, as long as they keep that tempo going? Maybe you should give les a call and tell him to play slower and see what he says

  • les is fuckin pimp dude

  • These guys need to put out more music! This is almost better than Primus! Hard for me to say that but I like what Trey and Stewart have added to what Les does.

  • @FalseWitnessScoob just a jam band.never do more than this. what a shame

  • @FalseWitnessScoob wayyy better than primus. its the best jamband guitarist with one of the best bassists ever and one of the best drummers ever

  • @FalseWitnessScoob you mean what they all collaborated with together to make one amazinfg band, not one following he other.

  • @FalseWitnessScoob - I understand what you are saying, I love both bands; but they are simply not comparable beyond the fact that they are a trio with Les on bass. I would consider Primus a jam band in some ways, but only after I saw them play at Vibes this year; with ten minute versions of every song...but based on their studio music, they are definitely a funk metal band and Oysterhead is a jam band.

Either way, Oysterhead is such a treat, I'd take a Primus tour 1st and Oysterhead any day.

  • @FalseWitnessScoob yeah dont ever say this is comparable to primus. im almost offended for primus fans everywhere. dont get me wrong, this is gold, and i absolutely love stewart copeland, but dont ever compare it to primus.

  • @FalseWitnessScoob I agree; We need some more real music makers to save our dieing music of today.

  • @EatingABombs Thanks brother! These guys really make some good tunes together. It sounds like they have been together forever, not just a one off. Hope more from them comes out.

  • @FalseWitnessScoob it really sux when guys like this get together and make such a badass album, and then you realize they probably wont ever play again as a band!

  • my two fav read head people eever

  • @jake4411 cant argue with that

  • this shiit is off the hook

  • they were on conan?!! this is the best day of my life! what i would give to have seen them live...

  • conan looks kinda fat

  • The audio of this clip is way better than the live shows at bonaroo! These guys play great jam music.

  • oh man i didn't even know they were on conan. sweet!
