He's certainly never needed enough firepower to level a city to beat one robot before.

@Clix2001 No, I re-read what I wrote and it makes sense to me. I generally like subs for anime, but NOT for this show. The dub for THIS show is awesome with awesome voice actors (also true for a few other choice shows.) However, for the majority of anime, I prefer subs. I think you may have misread what I wrote, and confused one of my "subs" for "dubs" or vice versa. Basically, Big O, Gundam Wing, and maybe one or two others I like dubbed. But of course, to each his own!

@ReverseMyFate Big O falls in the category of "conventional" robot: he's a generic piloted Ground combat unit, one of many if you've seen Roger's flashbacks, designed for engaging other robots of similar design, hence why he so easily dominates the "villain" megadeus, but has trouble with the other Bigs. those were designed for their own specific purpose, such as Big Duo, who was intended to provide aerial support for the bigs.
