How to do multiplication?

This seems interesting and I got the first one. But on the second one, why did you drag the 1 to the 8? And why did you write the awnser with a g?

@gandolflitke That is clearly a 9, not a g. He moved the 1 (which is actually a 10, since it's the root number in 14) to the 8, and added it up, because he only has 1 place, and 2 numbers. Therefore, the 1 is a number higher than it's previous number, and should be moved to the appropriate place...

This is elementary multiplication: did you even go to school?
