I think it was a very good "propaganda" operation really made for Hollywood, the USAAF had a much better approach to stopping the NAZI war machine bomb the Oil & petro chemical plants to ruin, which where even more vulnerable to daylight & night bombing.

@CreoleCommando Yeah, Ploiești and daylight bombing worked out for you guys. 1 raid on 1 night does not sum up the approach of Bomber Command.
